Porcupine Goliath spike damage is ridiculously over tuned...

It wasn't a map. Sadly, it was the imperial gardens. Close quarters, near those carriages. I moved on to maps now, though.
Anyway maybe if they fix armor things like this would never happen.

Surprisingly in maps I do much better against porcupine goliaths. I'm also planning to shove in a totem in my build somewhere. It's just hard to decide what skill I should sacrifice. Both my main and secondary skill are good against almost any kind of enemy, so to give up one of them to being able to kill only one kind of enemy easier seems like a bad choice. Plus I would need to build into totems if I want sufficient damage on them, which I prefer not to.

It would be a good thing if GGG would add movement speed nodes on the templar area.
A 25-30 increased movement speed with 4 nodes and a notable would be a good bargain.
I tried to run haste, but I don't have enough mana to reserve because I already rocking 2 auras: Herald of Ash and purity of elements. They are my all time favorite. Plus my fire golem.

@kolyaboo: Thistlesage was actually nerfed quite a bit over these 3-4 years. He was doing much more damage. They also toned down his cast on death attack. Maybe that's why they upped the ante on the other goliaths.

I remember when Chatters in Act 1 was actually a threat. That was in the closed beta back in 2012. Good times. He was actually perma-freezing characters, mostly melee. Well, they thawed out eventually, but it took a bit of time, which was usually enough time for Chatters to obliterate you. They changed it quickly after many complaints.
Sadly they overnerfed poor Chatters, so he is just a joke now. Not that I want back his perma-freeze, but an in between compromise would be nice.

I am too into meaningful fights, that you have to plan ahead for.

Clear speed is good to have, but fun, enjoyment of the game and challenge takes first seat for me. Don't forget lore also!

Nor any CWDT+Immortal call.

Care to explain why cwdt + IC would not have helped?

Ooohhh pick me coach pick me I have hoop dreams!

CWDT+IC works off any subsequent hit so you first need to take the initial damage to proc it. If that damage one shots you, it's literally useless. It only prevents further damage and it only does so for a small duration. It's unreasonable to have a player always stack up ECs to prolong it given the nature of the game and how fast players move through maps.
Deliver pain exquisite
This is how I deal with them: make a totem character, camp around the corner and spam totems, easy peasy. The map is too open? Put down your totems and run the hell back.

They fixed the armour bug. So armour (from body piece and GS) is better now.

The context here is porcupines. Nothing you say implies why cwdt + IC (commonly used is also ID with it) would not have helped. It does not require endurance charges to function. And the damage comes in a fast sequence of consecutive low/medium damage hits. So far as I know/understand procupines are one of the best-fit situations for cwdt + IC + ID setup.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
Yeah Porcupines and Titty Bitches are essentially your go to checks if you ask yourself "Do I really need CWDT + IC?"

The answer is yes, you can also block a path with a decoy totem and hide behind it, which I usually do, it is more annoying though, so just get CWDT - IC.
I do implemented CWDT+IC now and it do helps a bit. I also purchased a Voll's Vision for a measly 12 C.
With Geofri's Sanctuary and Hegemony's Era I look like a badass god king nephilim sumbitch.

@Emphasy: "Titty Bitches" - You made me ROFLMAO there!
You can also pick up a gladiator, exploding bleeding enemies on death prevents the spikes.
I know that. I have a lvl 80 Fire arrow Scion, who can do that.

I can't go Gladiator with a Templar. That's a duelist ascendancy. I went with Inquisitor. Sanctify-Pious Path. Both are good for ele-damage that help my Sunder-Eartquake a lot, since I use added fire damage gems in both setup.
