Game freezing on login screen

Game starts like normal, however when it gets to the login in screen the game freezes. The music continues to play but nothing else happens.

Same issue here. I just left it there for a few minutes and it eventually loads.
The game, however, seems to have HUGE lag spikes. Nearly died a few times. |

FIXED!
Go into the location that contains pathofexile.exe, right click and go to properties. Under compatibility click the box titled "diasble display scaling on high DPI settings". fix the login freeze problem for now. |

Didn't work for me either. The 64-bit client works fine as far as I can see but I'd rather not beta test it in HC.

Same here, game loads up to the log-in screen, and that's it, there it remains frozen.

Same Problem 32bit version freezes in login screen and I get the usual poe.exe has stopped working error.
64bit starts up fine, but gets the error everytime I try to get back to the character screen when im ingame. |
