PERFECT BUILDS PLANNER instead of FREE PASSIVE RESET
I'd also like to put out there that easier games exist in the same genre. There's Akaneiro, Torchlight 2, Diablo 3, Titan Quest, Din's Curse, and more. See if one of those is a better fit for you if you want a more forgiving experience.

What the... You say:
" and in the same post you write: " Do you even know how many players are out there and trying out crazy stuff? I bet most of them have a life and are no fat asses... If you want to play a class like this, try it out. It's not like that it takes forever to reach lvl 40-50. And if you messed up, then you still can use Orbs of regret, even if it's expensive or just start a new character. |

Would you start behaving a little bit more mature?
There is plenty of ways to plan your build, you are just too lazy to find and use them. If you create a crazy build and end up realizing its shit, then that's your fault. Don't try and blame it on people being nerds and you are the cool dude in school. This game is immensely fun for this reason, but I doubt you actually like that part of the game. Which is and I mean this not in a rude way, but D3 / Torchlight 2 would more than likely be better games for you. TL:DR : We have planners and its even easier with the offline skill tree + excel. "Lets say I want to make an Energy Shild CI MELE CRIT BASED WITH AURA AND BLOOD RAGE in theory thsi build seems crazy from some points but on practice it might be shit ...that why I asked community position about an Planner that will avoid such Fails ;)" Then you plan your build in the passive tree, figure out weakness and strength of the build. Get the gems with quality needed, the items with the correct stats, look on youtube/forums to see if the work already have been done for you. It takes no more than 20 min to find a build and use that yourself, or spend those 20 mins thinking ahead with passive skill tree. ES + Dagger + Crit build Took me less than 5 min to go from there, then you can check how much str and int, is that enough for the gems you wanna use? Here is Wiki really helpfull All this can be done within 20 minutes and thinking of how much time you spend lvling up, imo 20 mins thinking ahead with a "crazy" build isn't that time consuming. For every time you get faster and know the passive tree better. "Had they not taken my home with fire, I would not have taken their children." Witch -

This isn't a solution that should be implemented in the game but instead should be a fun community project for a website.

Wow so much hostility lol
I like the idea. It's not making the game "easier", it's making it more fun trying to figure out stuff to use in your build without extensive time-consuming work and trial and error. You DO need trial and error in the end, but you can pre-build "crazy" builds and with this "super-planner" you can see if it's even worth your time to even try. If it is, then you go and try it, get to level 50, and see if it works for you and you have fun with it. If you don't, then yeah re-roll your char and make another build I don't see why so many people oppose this idea :/ I like the idea of creating "items" and "sockets", so you can see how your gear has synergy with your skills and passive skills. It is cool having "unlimited" access to all skill-gems and possible sockets/links to play with them and see which one you'd like the most to use, AND experiment with the actual gear/PST at the same time. It also allows you to basically SHOW a build in a "formal" manner. If you want people to rate your build, you just create it with this planner and post it in the corresponding forum. It can make feedback so much easier/constructive. I don't really like the "deal with it" suggestions. I see no argument against it other than "it's possible to do so without it", but the same can be said about the online PST planner and a lot of other cool features can't it? About 3rd party software: Some of the POE 3rd party software I found is cool, but I think the 3rd party part is a little bit of a problem. I think it'd be so much better if all the features done in those 3rd party stuff is done in the game itself, so it has more accessibility, is more accurate, has more features, and in the future may have more interoperability with other features of the game/site (for instance using the planner to "create builds" and easily show them in the forum, just like you can show items or a PST build) |
