I feel for you and I think the upcoming race events may be a good way for you to get back into playing the game. Instead of feeling like you've got to catch up to where you were before, shift your focus on the races for a while. Run some practice runs, makes some builds that may do well in different race types etc and eventually you'll get back into it.

Ok guys, i really do appreciate all of your input and above all thx for your support.
I really really like this game and i think im going to try to get back into it. But for this to happen, because i don't know how i got hacked and could very well happen again, i definitely need to take additional protection measures. Im thinking about the path of exile authenticator, i think i saw it somewhere, can anyone tell me about it, if it's really helpful ? I don't believe the authenticator is live yet, unfortunately. The best bet would be a unique, strong password. Also - length is everything when it comes to strength for passwords these days. Unless your password is short and gibberish, most brute force attacks take into account common substitution so "@ppl3" is a pretty weak password by today's standards. "ILikeToEatApplesandBananas" would be stronger by a large margin.

At login screen upon starting to play Poe, there is an option there " remember password " , is there any risk at all in having that checked marked ? ( i always thought i'd be a bad idea to have it checked, but i did check it anyways )

If I speculate, I'd say it increases the risk slightly, but only on your PC as I believe that's a locally stored bit of info and someone would then have to compromise your PC to get that info.
