Same here, account hacked max 12 hour ago , one the GGG end for sure, unique password, never used before and all precious items stolen, just as i wrote before i don't give a damn about the orbs i lost my 5L weapon and now i CAN'T PLAY. Would be nice if you start giving stolen item's back so ppl can accualy play again on their charrs and do that untill you fix your seccurity, cuz dear GGG we lost many hours, days, weeks of "hard work" and now we have nothing.

The issue is that I now cannot continue playing since I know that, regardless of what I do or how I play, I can be hacked with no option of recovery-- and when that happens, the game becomes completely unplayable for the affected character(s) and weeks of work towards making those characters playable is lost.
How can I log back in now, and work towards recovering my situation knowing that nothing prevents it from happening again, and that when it happens nothing can resolve it? If this was something on my end, I could pat myself on the head, call it a lesson learned and try again with the strong suspicion that what I changed might make the problem not happen again. But this cannot happen because there is nothing on my end that can change. If I had some confidence that there would be something changing on GGG's end to make this issue either impossible (which anyone in security will tell you is in itself impossible) or recoverable in the future, I could continue. I haven't seen anything more than empty promises of that. If restores don't happen, I likely will have to put this game on hiatus until a system is put in place that allows them. That's the flat reality, and those who are as yet unaffected by the issue shouldn't pretend they are immune and should start voicing concerns to this effect themselves. " We should take the Prozon case as a perfect example of how GGG will work to rectify their mistakes. Futhermore, after auth changes are in place (as a stopgap if not the solution for this hacking spree), they'll be able to start poring through logs of those affected and their code to find the source of the problem. This also gives them an excellent vantage to recover accounts if they decide to go down that road. I agree with your post entirely, and you're right, this can't go on, which is exactly why GGG is working to fix it. |

" True in every word, for the time when the seccurity isn't good (and that's not a player's problem cuz i did 2 scans onf my pc, nothing found, never logged on any suspicious sites only official PoE and PoE wiki, so this have to be a GGG problem), GGG should give us maybe not all stolen items but those required to play, cuz without a weapon, armour , ring,s necks, some of uss can;t play and don;t have any orbs to buy a new item,s. Action's like this kills the game, if GGG will not respond properly ppl will leave. hope somone of GGG will say a word not only empty promices. IGN Aliiya
