Cutscenes?

I don't think I would discount cut scenes as a tool for developers to reveal parts of the story. The problem is that it needs to be done in moderation. Still once the game gets released it could be interesting to see story or action sequences.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.
I'd rather not have cutscenes in this kind of game. Just doesn't feel right in a lovely hack n' slash gearfest. Mind, if they're very few and far in between, i.e. after a big event a la diablo 2, I wouldn't complain at all. Sit back and enjoy your victory, prepare for the next wave.
That's basically what I mean. Not a lot just sometimes with big events. I remember Baldur's gate Dark Alliance.

I agree that it must be done in moderation and yes I agree that cgi like cutscenes should only be used after major battles that deal with the story. The way I honestly think it should be done is like RemmKK said big cutscenes after major battles and then small in-game scenes and other voiced dialog to help storyline progression during long lulls in slaughter.

Smooth, continuous cutscenes (ones that don't blank out the UI nor mess with the camera) could do a lot for immersion.

But I agree: no cutscenes is better than bad cutscenes.
love the cutscences

U JELLY?????????
At this stage the story/quest elements of the game are quite empty, because theyre mostly trying to test and develop gameplay stuff. I don't know what their plans are for anything like cutscenes.
