Cutscenes?

This may sound like a stupid question but I feel it must be asked. Does this game have cutscenes? The reason why I'm asking is because I find that cutscenes help maintain the storyline especially in an heavy action game like this.

This game is made for high replayability, and I imagine it would get a tad repeditive if there were cutscenes. I haven't seen any announced so far, so probably not?

D2 had some amazing cutscenes, and the game was extremely replayable. I think if it didn't have cutscenes, it wouldn't be as enjoyable
I'm not expecting lengthy pre-rendered cutscenes. I'd be happy with in-game scenes with some voice acting. Something that brings attention to the storyline unlike a lot of these mmo's that tout a great story but no cutscenes of any kind to bring attention to it.

I wouldn't expect CGI cutscenes in a game produced by a small independent developer. It simply isn't reasonable with their limited budget.

As for in-game cutscenes, they aren't necessary in a Diablo-esque ARPG and would simply detract from the fast-paced gameplay. Voiced quest dialogue would be nice, but really isn't a big deal.

I quite disagree. The last MMO I played touted a great storyline. After about a month of playing I was left wonder "What's this games' storyline?" There were no cutscenes of any kind to grab my attention and tell me what this part of the story is. I was too busy clicking like crazy to get through the dialog.

I'm sure the finished product will come with amazing cut scenes! No need for them in beta.

Agreed, but some kind of placeholder would be nice.

PoE isn't really an MMO like WoW or SW:TOR. The story, along with music and atmosphere, is there to draw us into the world while we furiously massacre mobs for loot to show off to (and kill) other players.

Voiced dialogue would help immersion greatly (unless it had bad acting).
True but I'm coming off playing Runes of magic a free to play MMO that touted an amazing, but did nothing to immerse you in it. I just don't want to see the same thing in a free game like this.
