You And Alt+F4

You may be thinking, phew I Alt+F4'ed and im still in Hardcore/Didn't lost any exp in softcore.
Well think again and again, everytime you Alt+F4 there is a chance of you dying still.

You see, in the land of Alt+F4
What you left open was a tiny little Door
You thought you had disconnect
But then your character just got wrecked

When you do that little combo
The server does the mambo
Your character waits for the show
A great display! But you're dead though

So next time you want to escape
Don't press that or it's your nape
Just press ESC and Exit PATH
Or death that of which you no know wraith

No longer will I need to think again about the bad things of Alt+F4

i read that bullshit so often here hardcore isnt real hardcore cause u can Alt F4

its mostly defaultplayer talk yes most defaultplayer claim this bullshit cause a hc player knows that you stay 6sec in the game after alt f4

never tried it never will if you have to do that you shouldnt be in that area in the first place

Most people that use it know to pop all your pots while doing it since the client queues up the uses so any remnant of your character will still get the top off.

That was quite the clever poem your wrote there, MrSquishyBuns.

Although you come off as a bit sarcastic, I do find this to be pretty informative. Most people think they have alt-f4 as a quick way out, but they do not realize that there is a small gap from the time you press alt-f4, to the time that the game registers that you've actually hit it, which leaves a window of opportunity for you to get your butt kicked.

I play HC and I use it not to escape death but to escape the desync, and I got mad health armor, im pretty sure there is no way im going to die in 6 sec unless it was from kole or something smashing me a few times under wierd circumstances on map or something. But no way im waiting 20 sec to find out im in 3 rooms later lagged out like omg where the hell am i now lol. I've never died from desync nor will I probly ever, lost a 67/68/53other random rushing areas pushing it. All from my fault. Ive alt f4 quite a bit from not moving or being able to loot just to fix the sitution.

There is no 6 sec window.. if you alt+f4 it is instant logout.

I don't know if you have slower computers or something but so far I've done it at death's door and escaped unharmed.

Not everyone has great internet speed/high-end computers that would let Alt+F4 instalog you out if it did that.
They should change the way log out works though :) , ty guys glad you liked it/was helpful!

I wish the server would have a 5-10 second log out wait either by Alt+F4 or just by simply clicking Esc+Exit Path, so many people escaping death they shouldn't and should pay the penalty for it.
