I've been looking at the wiki page for a while now and most of them seem like a decent choice, so I cant really bring myself to pick one base to try and craft something for myself. I am personally eyeballing Spiraled Foil at the moment, but I'd like to hear any opinions on the matter before purchasing the base/s. Is the maximum attack speed best overall or do we benefit more from the base critical strike chance that a Vaal Rapier provides. Or perhaps the 50% critical strike multiplier bases could come out on top? Any insight is welcome!

Jeweled foil is generally considered the best base for stabby swords.

According to the wiki a Spiraled has 24–55 base damage (meaning 39,5 average hit), while a Jewelled sits at 27–51 (which is a 39 average hit). Their other stats are exactly the same. Why is the Jewelled considered better? Is the wiki inaccurate by any chance?

That is a very good question........It would mean all the mirror folks were dumb AF to use jeweled foils as their base or the wiki is wrong. Probably the latter.
Or maybe the min damage is important?

I checked the in-game values of both items and it turns out the wiki is accurate on this.
Does anyone know why someone would consider the base with lower average damage to be better than the other one?
