kaom or brass dome for HC?
" Brass Dome's armor is unimportant. It only affects physical damage. Brass Dome's true power is negating crits. Crit guarantees status effects and prolongs their duration by causing the hit to deal more damage. However, the true threat of a crit is that you take more damage. Instead of a 6k life build surviving a wave of some 4k total damage, it dies because that combined 4k crit sufficiently to well over 8k. No chest that grants 100 life is going to help you with that. Even a legacy Kaom's Heart won't save you. A Brass Dome, however, will. And it applies to all types of damage. This goes to show it doesn't matter what type of player you are. It matters how you combine your character and your own skills. Some players need more laid back builds; builds that can survive more easily. Other players can play glass cannons and never die. There are a few builds that will die to lag, and even then some builds won't die to any content no matter what. |

whats would be the build with the best sruvability (who can also do end game maps with his damage) for HC?

Check out my ShimaSoru char for a cheap, tanky char that can do end game maps. My SC version has done all T16 maps solo so far. No shaper yet.
I copied the build from a lvl 93 in HC, so it is tried and tested. The idea is to stack life and get the cloaked in savagery ascendancy skill. Whenever you take a savage hit, you get 100% life leech! With Vaal Pact, this allows you to face tank most content with enough life/mitigation. |

Hmmm... how well does Brass Dome do in an Aegis Aurora max block build do? I feel like it could work pretty damn well.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

" Literally stack pure ES rares in all other slots to maximize your ES total. Basically 3/4 hits would restore ES and only 25% of hits would have to punch through your massive ES. However, I'd prefer to use a rare ES shield because it helps boost your ES higher. 75% of hits dealing zero damage is big enough. |

I find it works damn fine for mapping. The synergy between reckless defense jewel and brass dome is great.
I'm still not sure if max block is better than max life for the berserker leech build though. If I got rid of all my reckless defense jewels, I could get +57% increased life. I would take more hits, but 100% leech keeps my life at max as long as I survive the hit. Max life is WAY cheaper though and it's how I started my characters. |

who has better life leech ? bezerker or slayer?

" Depends. Berserker has higher conditional Life Leech Amount. Slayer has overheal. Overheal is mostly useful when you deal slower, bigger, Hits. Slayer also has bonuses-while-Leeching. If you have no other source of Leech, Slayer is terrible. Berserker provides a source of Leech in its passives. If you don't like using Warlord's Mark, if you don't like using Life Leech Support, if you don't like stacking Leech affixes on your items - Berserker will help you there. Need game info? " To put it correctly: Berserker is about having leech. Everything he does has leech, without the support. He can leech 1% guaranteed life and mana from everything, and an additional 2% when he has slain something within four seconds. Should he lose 15% or more of his life in a single hit, he leeches all damage as life and mana. He becomes very leechy when he has Vitality Void and Spirit Void notables allocated, and/or Lust for Carnage. Slayer is about leeching back faster. He cannot reach the leech levels of Berserker, but he can out-leech him due to leech rate and should his damage surpass the Berserker's. He also becomes much more tanky due to his ability to retain leech despite having filled his life, so leech begins work immediately upon taking damage rather than once he next deals damage. Slayer also has an inherent cull at 20% rather than the original 10%, which is highly effective against all enemies of all difficulties. I personally prefer Berserker because he can set up a bunch of CWDT combos to leech back massive amounts of life and it is extremely easy to make a hybrid life/mana MoM character. Additionally, he is the easiest to level up because he has no mana issues due to inherent leech. I would, however, prefer a Slayer for higher level content because of his Brutal Fervor, Endless Hunger, Bane of Legends, and Impact ascendancies. Bleed and stun immunity so long as I'm leeching, 20% culling, and inherent melee splash without the support is really nice. |

But what about slayer spell elemental dmg protection? Is there something which can be done apart from capping resists, taking +1% max fire res node, stacking HP as much as possible and using arctic armour once you get some mana reservation reduction (in helmet or from tree) ???
I think it's much more likely that a spell elemental dmg will 1/2 shot you than any phys dmg (e.g. Atziri lighting + fire, map Dominus lighting, multiple skeletons with extra projectiles fireballs, etc...). This is what I find much more problematic than possibility to die from phys hit. MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS! Last edited by Filousov#5457 on Oct 12, 2016, 4:20:53 AM
