What laptop to play PoE ? [Answered & solved]

Exiles,

I'm planning to buy a new laptop. The only game I will be playing is PoE.
Simple questions : What kind of gear should I absolutely avoid ? Is there one or a few specific kinds of laptops that run PoE better than others do ?

I hope I'm not violating any forum rule. However feel free to send me a PM if you feel like your piece of advice looks like advertising...

Thanks a lot !

(You might have noticed English isn't my mother tongue. Sorry for that !)

EDIT : New laptop is running PoE smoothly. Life changed.

Any gaming one. Or in case they're too expenisve, look for one with really decent cpu cooling. Otherwise you'll get hot cpu and slideshow after like 30 min of playing.
Srsly, laptops can screw gaming experience.

Good advice. Imo a good cooling concept owns pure tech stats here.
"better to simply go balls deep full retard if you gonna go retard." -Boem-

2015 8 gb ram dual i5 2,5ghz nvs 3100m game runs like shit it used t be ok now with all the retarded not needed gfx porn in bossfights its worse than ever now whatever game is not balanced for hc anymore so i dont really care

tldr dont play on a laptop this game needs a good standalone set for its 2010 graphic

I'm used to playing with the following production_config :
Spoiler
1texture_quality=5
adapter_name=Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
antialias_mode=0
borderless_windowed_fullscreen=false
fullscreen=false
post_processing=false
resolution_height=699
resolution_width=1280
screen_shake=false
shadow_type=no_shadows
texture_filtering=16
texture_quality=1
vsync=false
[GENERAL]
engine_multithreading_mode=enabled

My current laptop (i5, 2,50GHZ, 4GB ram) runs PoE decently for 2 hours (needs a restart after that) with, however, huge FPS drops including a 2-3 seconds freeze when too many things happen. Since I use a laptop cooler I don't have cooling issues anymore.

I'm often traveling, a laptop is my only option.

I agree with the useless increase of effects during boss fights (and other fighting moments). Each time GGG fix performance issues, they add more ways to get (very) unexpected discos...

thanks guys
Im using a variant of this:

Never have any problems.
I use an alienware 17 and it runs very nicely. The SSD definitely improves the experience. It even runs well when I use my phone as a wifi hotspot.

I've never owned or wanted a gaming desktop. Can't sit at a desk and play games for some reason. Asus has a pretty nice line of gaming laptops that are (for gaming laptops) fairly affordable. If cost is aan issue you can always get refurbished. This can be good or bad, I've experienced both sides. When it was bad, they took it back for repairs at no charge through Amazon. Inconvenient but does save on costs.

Currently I play using an Asus G751jy that I put an SSD into. Since 2.4 I haven't noticed any performance issues so long as I keep shadows set to low. Although I am also not playing anything too flashy at the moment. In the past I've used Asus G75vw and Asus G61jx, but those would be fairly dated by now. G75vw definitely can run PoE but it does require turning some of the settings down of you want a smooth experience.
Ok, I'm getting closer thanks to you. Now, I'm considering buying an ASUS G552VW (based on my budget).

On board processor Intel® Core™ i5-6300HQ Processor 2.3 GHz (6M Cache, up to 3.2 GHz), 8GO Ram and 128Go SSD

I might not be able to play with the highest graphics possible, but I guess I'll be able to fight Malachaï deathless with a 5K life char (at last).

Thank you very much to all of you.
