EK Maurauder + Auras + Iron Will No Eldritch 353% Life. Faceroll! [tested + updated]

I tested it myself but due to lack of time im only 77. started mapping with 70. straight with no reg and reflect maps. i have terrible gear but manage to get to 5.4k life and 15k armour /35k with granite + overcap resi thanks to diamond skin. I face tank anything but Brutus. dps is 4.5k with lvl 17 EK no dmg notes yet.

LvL 80


Endgame is just more life, more armour more crit. if you have the gear you can drop int and dex notes



On top of the 20k Armour 350% life and 500 Strength the plan is to run double bear trap with added fire.

Ek with BM, Added Fire, Life Leech, Iron Will + (Faster Casting/Chain)

Hatred + Determination + Purity + Haste [ YOU NEED lvl 18+ REDUCED MANA + 2 Talents you end up at 100% mana reserved]+ bloodmagic grace

weapons run Dagger with global crit, spell power, spell crit while high spell power will give you more damage. or wand with spell power cast speed spell crit. you can run any kind of shield.

One should Pick up 2 or more Int Notes aswell to get to 180-200 requirements for the Wands(if you intent running wands) without the need for alot of + int on gear

Gonna start this char right now wanted an ek build for a while.

Don't know much about specs so instead i have a few questions.

1 for single target dmg i assume its bear traps and what spell totem what should it be linked wuth?

2 Will this really have enough dmg with out any damage nodes?

3 inner force on this recommended?

4 can you swap other dmg aures over the defensive ones or with wrath not do anything for ek?

dmg auras do not apply to Ek since its a spell.


im not sure if spell totem is the right choice. you probably just wanna go with

Decoy totem+Blood magic +Curse/enduring cry +Faster Casting

Bear Trap + Bear Trap + Added Fire + Blood Magic

You already have tons of damage going Ek in the first place. which is supported by added fire and hatred (haste if enough dex). both scale very well. from that point on just stack health armor and max out resist. that is really all you need to go for in this game.

I imagine a Wand like that would be optimal.


If you can fit in Inner Force its good to get, but its not as crazy as if you would run anger wrath discipline clarity grace.
However im NOT SURE if it affects Hatred, but i would imagine that.

40% cold dmg becomes 52%.
400 more armour from graces. / which is alot because its get multiplied by about 200%.
so thats 1.6k armour.

so ya if you can get those 4 points from anywhere its good. maybe late late game when you dont need the int notes anymore.

done it already, its fceroll until merc. i always stop at merc so idk

You are right beside iron grip why not get it and then you don't need iron will gem.

hatred works, iron grip is not the same as iron will, so no.

as for me i was doing around 1.5k dps at like lvl 53. the problem with me is that iwas lacking ele resists, so i stopped playing it

My mistake. Does Iron grip work with EK? And if you had Iron grip and Iron will wouldn't that be a huge damage increase?

The build I linked should be pretty tanky but i fear that I wouldn't do much damage.

my damage calculation should be accurate. also only IRON WILL (gives about 100% spell damage) works. IRON GRIP doesnt work at all(it increases dmg of attacks only / EK IS SPELL!). as far as im concerned the most important thing to get is armour so you dont one shot yourself on reflect. maybe get vaal?

I wasn't questioning your damage calculation. I was stating that the build I made I feared wouldn't do enough damage. What do you think of it?

i see ALOT of wasted points in your build + if you go blood magic you cant support any of the % auras.

Like you spend 7 points to get 2 12% notes. only 24 int etc.

but again i dont think its worth it to drop 3 % auras for blood magic
