I really, really, hate what Atlas did to unique maps.

I would personnally change the drop system so that maps can be dropped at a pathway distance of 2, as long as the first step has been properly completed before. This would simplify access to maps you haven't completed yet, including unique maps.

Or come back to the old but good system where a map could drop any +1 tier (and unique maps) without any unlocking crap.

+1, I'd rather unique maps not be shown on the atlas, and merely be an alternate way to unlock (for example) Temple map if you run a Poorjoy's. Running Underground River to unlock Caer Blaedd is dumb.

yeah its lame as fuck, unique maps were some interesting find, and when youre bored you run it for its uniqueness, break from all the normal maps

in standard till now i found like 2 death and taxes, 2-3 oba, 4 hallowed ground, 6-7 atoll/overgrown shrine

0 mao kun/putrid cloaster/grandmaster ( didn't complete these yet )

unique maps can drop anywhere just as unique items

i like the level of unique maps now, before their level was so low to that they were useless and boring

This is only true for unique maps that you have completed already. If you have not completed the map previously, then it can only drop in it's base map. For instance, if you have never completed Hall of the Grandmasters, it can only drop in Promenade maps.

Not sure this is true. I got the unique Strand map from an inner treasure mob on either Dunes or Shore. I did not have any unique maps unlocked, though I did have the Strand unlocked.

Unique maps work the same as other maps. They only drop in maps they are connected to on the Atlas until you have completed them once. Then they drop as normal. As missions, Zana can offer you unique maps that you haven't unlocked yet. These may be lower level than the level of the actual unique map is now.

Nice! Looks like the game actually screwed up in my favor for once.
