" im playing melee. Sometimes its impossible to stop animation of skills and walk away. " flasks recovering speed in that fight making it useless. 6 sec of +3000 armour and deadweight in slot. " lower dps = longer fight = more incoming damage. Maybe i can kill him with 30 mins of spaming low-level totmem but wtf? Is It normal? " curses on bosses? huh. Maybe i il try enfeeble. rus/en, GMT+4

" Endurance Charges don't lower your DPS and Fortify doesn't either. Actually since I assume you are not using Frenzy Charges right now, Frenzy+Fortify would increase your dps because you get Frenzy Charges. And Endurance Charges is just a 0,25 Warcry you have to use once every 10 seconds. And due to the high amount of skeletons it should instantly bring you up to max Echarges, which should be 5. So with a public character the issue might be solveable, but right now I am not sure what you are doing because he is incredible easy. And easy means Merc Dominus levels of difficulty... just easier because he deals all physical damage except for the mortar barrage which should be dodged. |

Unhide your chars, it makes it much easier.
Hows your fire resist? I use the phoenix shield in there and no probs. You can also use temp chains to make telegraphing his melee easier, though the bastard cheats and will do a 180 instant attk if you move to soon. Its like desync syncs up. |

" Have to admit I have not played melee in quite a while. " Basalt flask can be used against telegraphed attacks that you cannot dodge. With no other mitigation, your effective HP pool jumps from 7000 to 7000/(1-0.2) = 8750, which can make the difference between getting one-shot and not easily. With 5 Endurance Charges, your EHP is 7000/(1-0.04*5) = 8750 anyways, with additional Basalt Flask it is then 7000/(1-0.04*5-0.2) = 11667. Add Fortify and you can tank a LOT of physical damage. Add Taste of Hate... you get the point. Basalt is probably better than Granite for you. Also, what flasks are you using at the moment? I made the mistake of starting with 4 life flasks. If you leech a lot, one life flask should be easily enough, the rest can be stocked with offensive or defensive flasks. Basalt, Taste of Hate, Vessel of Vinktar, Atziri's Promise, Granite, Quicksilver, .... lots of options. The flasks can be re-stocked pretty easily with all the skeletons that spawn. " You should not link Fortify in your main link. It should go into an extra skill, like Frenzy. Endurance Charges can easily be sustained with Enduring Cry. " Sure. My Bladefall Character has 3 empowered curses (Temp Chains, Enfeeble, Vulnerability), and it makes Izaro very easy to deal with. He is slow, and when he hits, his damage is significantly reduced. I can do Uber Lab full key runs. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Not even Uber Izaro one-shots you at 5k HP, let alone at 7k HP, if he is not buffed. Tested it with various Acro/EV builds that have barely 5k HP. Don't allow him buffs and you should be fine.
" 1.) Melee can do Lab just ok. If you are locked in animation for too long then remove multistrike or put in faster attacks. A movement skill is very important on Izaro fight. 2.) Flasks are crucial for every boss fight, more so for Izaro. Properly rolled flasks are one of the most important gearing aspects in the game. Granite & Basalt will help you survive heavy hits. A life flask will not help you if you are dead. Try Stibnite on your melee guy and love it. 3.) If you play melee then endu. cahrges are almost mandatory. Unless you have a ton of block. You either soak up all damage, or you avoid / block it & survive the sporadic hits that get through. 4.) Curses - again a crucial thing on boss fights, Enfeeble or TC, whatever your char can equip at lvl 20. Or both. E: And Decoy totem - use it, love it. " Yep, same thing nailed me in one shot last night in Merc Izaro second stage. It looked like a bright white blob of light surrounding me, but it revealed Izaro's secret: uber-lag. The entire game froze for several seconds and by the time the lag spike receded I was dead. |

after killing uber izaro several times on characters that barely have 4.5k hp i have to call 'weird story' on this one
a) your replies suggest you already 'know it all the best' and are unwilling to learn from others. that wont get you far b) 5k hp is more than enough for merc lab. it is almost afk-enough in fact c) flasks.. the way you talk about them is strange. it is as if you didnt know how to use them and what they can give to you d) fortify part when you do not want to sacrifice your muh presius dips.. dead men do no dps. so pick actions wisely and your char tab is hidden still so we cannot see what is going on. i expect unvawering stance (noob trap no 1), 3-4 life flasks, lots of life% yet no mitigation nodes. kind of setup that does not work. |

" for that i must remove one of my 4l gem sets. That lower my dps or defence (right now i have cwdt-moltenshell, blashemy and cwdt-golems in my 3 slots). So anyway i must sacrifice someting important to obtain skill with forti and end.cry (3 gems) PS: why i cant open character tab to public? Im uncheking checkbox for hide it, pressing "update" and... got checkbox marked againg. Update: haha. atleast one checkbox must be marked on privacy tab. Impossible to unhide all info, lol. Opened characters now. " than why you typing that? There is feedback forum, im not asking any help. Especaly from "experts" like you. rus/en, GMT+4 Last edited by HoloPaladin#6151 on Sep 22, 2016, 3:41:23 AM

" Ok so you worried about Damage yet your actual problem is you are getting one shot which has nothing to do with your damage what so ever.. It doesnt matter how much damage you have if you cant survive long enough to deal the said damage. Endurance Charges for Melee is almost MANDATORY as well as Fortify. I couldn't imagine running a melee build without either of these let alone both.. Endurance charges is 4% physical mitigation per charge you start with 3. You can simply take the merci bandit and get 4 then on the tree most melee trees if done right can easily pick up end charge for 2 points each because they are right by or on the pathing to vital life nodes. Even on my casters i like to run either WM or EC just to make use of the stock 3 the build comes with because it does make a difference it also gives my IC on CODT that little extra you need to make it worth doing. Enduring Cry is a very nice option here simply pop it and if you have a high lvl EC it will most likely pull all your charges if there are adds with Izaro and then have a CODT+IC setup for when you get hit really hard to give you a brief immunity so you wont get killed by a follow up attack. This option is also only one socket so freeing up links for this option isn't nessisary. And every time you hear IC go off simply pop EC again to refresh the charges. Another really good cheap easy option not so much for getting all your charges up but maintaining them if you have ALOT of them (Jugger) at all times is to run Vengeance with End Charge on Melee Stun in the links and if you dont stun or have it proc enough for you then throw in Stun support as well to make sure it gives charges. This is for if you have a bunch of end charges and dont want to use them up on IC on CODT and just want to maintain them at all times and it works well. and its a 3L at most unless you want to throw leech or melee damage gem in with on a 4L. Warlords Mark is another valuable option that also gives ANY damage you deal 2% leech on top of pulling charges and some stun threshold. Its one of my favorite curses i run on most of my builds. But End Charges are simply too valuable to not make use off ESPECIALLY on a melee build. As for Fortify first off Fortify itself in a Melee skill links gives damage. Sure it might be a little less than something like Added Fire or whatever you swap it out with but you still get some damage and a nice Defensive boost on top. again if you cant survive long enough to deal damage it doesnt matter if you have all the damage in the world. Dead builds deal ZERO damage. Also with Fortify even though it does give damage like i said alot of people including myself on some melee builds simply cant justify the damage lost from another like like Added Fire.. In those cases simply run Fortify on whatever Movement skill you are using. Leap Slam is really nice for this and everyone and their brother uses Fortify on WBs. But yeah its a simple go to 3L most every build runs some version of even casters. Movement+Faster Attacks+Fortify. Movement skill around or into mobs every 5 seconds or so while playing your build and you can maintain 100% uptime on Fortify while still not losing one bit of damage. Temp Chains should not be underestimated.. It slows enemies and a slower enemy is much easier to avoid his attacks. It also pairs really well with Wither on a totem for even more slowing effect even if you dont have any DOT damage going it pairs well for that alone. Enfeeble is also a very good option since ALL boss's in POE have increased Crit Chance on them. Thats why most boss's not only hit so hard but sometimes have attacks that you will face tank and out of nowhere youll get one shot because it rolled a crit. Ive done the 3rd phase before with all buffs down in the other two fights with 5.5K life, 3 End Charges up, And fortify and STILL got one shot by his up close attack out of nowhere only because it happen to crit... The very next time i go in same thing but this time the same attack only hit me for about 2.5K tops and i dont even think i had fortify up that time. And it doesnt matter how much damage you stack its still a sustained fight for most any build unless its a boss nuke like BF Mines or something like that. He still has a huge life pool and you still need to deal with his mechanics and such no matter how much damage you have so thats why defenses are ALOT more important when your having issues like this. Lets put it this way... back before ascendancy i started a melee build in HC (Tempest) and i remember doing Normal Malachi with a whopping 230 DPS Cyclone... YES 230 DPS on my cyclone. on a 4L.. But i had over 2K life and more than enough defenses that staying the same room with Malachi for that 20-25 mins was pretty easy dont even remember having one single close call. Thats a pretty extreme example but i always keep that in mind when i start to see shortcomings in my defenses. The main thing to keep in mind with Izaro is the first 2 fights with him are very key. They have different mechanics and they change by the day as well if im not mistaken. and if you do not do the mechanics correctly in the first 2 fights it makes the 3rd and final fight even harder to handle. The worst one IMO is Charge Disruptors. When you see those come up out of the ground be extremely careful. Izaro with or without charges can mean the difference between him being easy and him one shotting 8-9K effective pools with ease. Hope This helps if you want to know more or still need help message me ingame ill be on most all day today. Melee actually it feels easier to do izaro than any of my casters for some reason. Its mainly because of all those defenses i talked about above i utilize on my melee builds that i simply dont have near the amount of on my casters but i do even Uber Lab on those builds and if you think Merc lab is rough you have seen nothing yet.. Map Lab is WAY Worse and he hits ways harder. Still doable but you will want to have Meci Lab down to facerolling it with your eyes closed to even think about having a chance in uber lab. But its worth mentioning that alot of the builds that farm map lab are melee jugger builds for obvious reasons. Or was now it seems like everyone is on a BV kick right now. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. Last edited by Demonoz#1375 on Sep 22, 2016, 4:34:39 AM
