So more strength = More life.

If you have 9000 life, its gives you 900 life regen per second.
If you have 6000 life, its gives you 600 life regen per second.

doing a bit better now, 950 str and 7427 life, 711 regen, RF still eats my life but not quite as fast... potions can keep up

regen is % of total. the more total life you have, the more regen per second. that being said, RF is also a degen that is % of total. so you must be able to counteract that. see RF page on wiki, as linked in the main post.

also just get more regen on your tree and it will fix it.

Some so called budget builds are quite ex for newer players, but Imma take that as a yes.

What I mean is for the time and effort involved is it good as something to start a league with? Compared to other "league starter" builds out there.

I'm using it as my league starter build. My only worry is that the shields are rarer in 3.0 and more expensive and I don't luck into one or have the $$ for one when I hit 65.

This will be my first league from the start, so any levelling advice for starting new would be appreciated.
