It's just a suggestion for the ppl who really don't want to use the US gateways and play with 100-150ms until thing are sorted out by GGG and softlayer.
All that rant man, maybe you're not in Brazil or maybe you're not experiencing this issue... why do you came here if you don't want to help?
It's not a matter of trusting a third party software, it's a matter that it solves the problem for the time being!

Yeah, it's not free but there is no place saying that you can't create a new trial account when yours expire, just be a little smart huh?

You are both gullible. Please don't spread false hope to people for a service that's a scam...

The website (WTFast) makes tons of promises, but even the main testimonial is less than gushing at best. A freelancer here with GamesBeat with a ton of experience in the area also assures me that he’s never seen a service like this that wasn’t “BS 100% of the time.” Another GamesBeat writer went further, saying, “Given what I know about the practical application of proxy servers, it’s hard for me to imagine a scenario where using such a service would improve the speed of your connection. It’s not the same as web browsing where they can store a copy of a website in a location that’s closer to you physically. Since it’s an online game, the data still needs to traverse the full path between point A and point B. They would basically have to purchase connectivity that was better and/or more direct (to both the game server and your house) than what the rest of the public Internet uses, and such point-to-point, high-bandwidth connectivity tends to be extremely cost-prohibitive.”

Thanks for the WTFast tip. Works just fine, getting ~30ms again, though I'd like to just be able to play without third party software, of course.
Using Net Virtua here, got the same problems as everyone but now after 5a.m local time it just went crazy, now are gateways have double the ping they used to when having problemas, são paulo is now at 450ms while washington texas are 300~.

Lets hope embratel fix this shit.
alguém me diz qual servidor do WTFast eu escolho? ja tentei todos os do Brasil e o ping continua o mesmo

GGG please say something about this issue please :(
I'm dying so much desyncing into lab traps and other stupid stuff

You are still here mate? Seriously, you're not helping anyone and have no intentions on doing it!
Nobody said that the service is not a scam, what we are saying is that in this case (which is a pathing problem for the brazilian gateway, probably something related to the Paraolympics or mostly a problem with embratel - as the tests suggests) that scam program is indeed working and reducing lag, or you are going to say the in-game latency meter is gullible too?

For everybody else, I guess GGG is probably looking at it but it's not a simple thing to solve - there is indeed a post in the brazilian foruns where a staff member said that they were looking at it and were trying to find whats wrong.
Someone in the portuguese forums said he contacted NET Virtua's support and they said a junction in São Paulo was damaged and the PoE datacenter happened to be along that route. Reason for ping being high is all data that was going through that route is now being routed through Italy instead, and they have no estimate of when the problem will be fixed.

I am not sure if that is all true or not (I have no reason to assume it isn't), but I thought I'd bring it to the english forums anyway since there hasn't been any official word in here.

This is the thread: https://br.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2234
A GGG employee showed up in that thread but all he said is he's sorry we're having issues but it's not something they can fix easily since everything is fine on their end.
