The Dot spam and Bots

You keep saying "I repeat" stuff but all I hear is "dot spamming is okay because I feel it is". I provided multiple points from angles leading from what the devs say, to what is the purpose of the dot spamming, to is dot spammer a better alternative.

Then why do people do it?????? Before GGG came out with their bullshit you could see pretty much the entire global spam the dots in the span of 1-2 seconds (until the bot flashbang disappears). Maybe one person would ask about it. Then one person rarely might complain about it. So it's like 10-12 people who do it(idk how many messages it takes to remove the bot spam) vs 1-2 who are annoyed. I guess you could say this 'story' is no real 'proof' but I guess that means you just didn't play the game. That's how it was.

No, we spam more than the bots. We replace their 'evil' spam with the most minimal (literally a dot), least intrusive kind of spam. That's a straight upgrade - From a wall of text covering 1/2 of your screen, to a wall of text covering 1/6 of your screen. Next up is GGG finally figuring out how to deal with da bots.

How about every single time a bot spams I type an entire block of question marks to move it out of the way that's 20 lines long? Since it holds as much value and content as dot spamming.

To make dot spamming allowed you need to make guidelines and rules on why is specifically that is okay compared to any other possible form of "combative spamming".

Water always flows to the lowest point possible. People will always use the easiest and most efficient method available. Why not ask GGG to allow mods that parses the chat for gold spammers like other MMOs have? The best solution you can come up with is dot spamming like dafaq.

They are? The rules were there but they weren't enforced for a while - until they were. There's lots of rules that are not enforced (not just in PoE), I don't know this is new to you. they scam new ppl with prices like 10c instead of 1c for leveling uniques
they dont answer any question or any they only bots which sell overpriced items.
They are hacking/cheating ban them.

Well i would like to chime in myself about something ive noticed although im not too sure what you can do to combat this either...

So the RMT sites have been spamming ALOT ive noticed in global chats and while im sure you do eliminate these as soon as they post the problem is they post again within minutes under a different name and continue to do this over and over all day. Maybe something more when making account since clearly this is a bot making these multiple accounts to spam RMT sites in global. It doesn't matter if you report it or even if you ban them when they post again on another name ji, jp, iu, ect. And its the exact same message each time as well and advertisement.

Only fix for this is i can see is making the ability to make new accounts harder atleast for a bot to make them anyway (Captcha or whatever its called) but that's an even bigger issue to me that RMT spam is becoming as bad as it is in other games now. It wasn't like this before. RMT is detrimental to the game as far as im concerned.

Is there anything further you guys can do about the RMT spam?
