Few Hours left... how you prepare?

Then I see replies like "cry more GGG did good in nerfing exp, too many people reached 100 and I'm not that kind of guy that plays 10 hours a day" in topics where those who work 10 hours a day moan for exp being nerfed.

Going to play Bingo with my wife. Damn I'm old.

I'm in SW Florida and my spouse is a UCF (University of Central Florida at Orlando) alumni and we're driving up Saturday to go to the first football game of the season. Much more fun to have barbecue and unlimited beer (buy a special UCF game cup for 6 bucks and then the beer is free for the rest of the season) and do something other than being a PoE zombie sitting in the computer cave cursing at GGG for another round of crappy performance from the 2.4.0 update (you just know the launch tomorrow won't come off smoothly).

We're not old, we're PoE veterans and are wise and not buying into any of the Atlas of Worlds hype. For me and my kiwi pet we long ago stopped riding the GGG hype train. GGG said we'd get something new to do in the endgame and it's still just mapping with a minor focus of having an Atlas to track our progress better and with 4 new uber bosses plus a final grand uber boss battle. Yes, being able to permanently upgrade a low tier map is nice and the sextant could be a fun way to modify a map's mods if we get enough to drop to be more than just a gimmick (I'm not betting they will). Where is there anything new to do after the core game that GGG said would be forthcoming. I'm not surprised that AoW is another catering to the uber elites clamoring for harder challenges and eschewing the 99.9% rest of the player base of which most have never ever gotten a red map drop for many years of playing 1000s of hours. At least raising the item level cap is good for a chance to get better rare gear drops farther into the higher tier maps. We've needed the cap raised on item progression for quite a while now so this is good. Done with ramp # ??? (I've lost track now).

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Planned Schedule

Tomorrow:
6 AM - 11 AM: Work (short day)

11:30 - 12 PM: Buy food/snacks/Red Bull

12:30 - 2:30: Gym

3 PM(AoW live): Play POE for 50 hrs non-stop

Labor Day: do laundry.
I kind a try to eat healthy during long gaming sessions, so will get lot of water, cook some good stuff in large portions which should last 2-3 days, and stack up on premade salads, well that kind a work for me and have a good night sleep today :)

Oh and btw people complaining they don't get red maps, just corrupt some t10-11 maps and run them, you'll get red maps (for more spice throw in zana beyond mod). Happy hunting!
Get an early night so I can catch a bit of release-day PoE in the morning before heading over to my mum's to help out around the place.

Otherwise, I figure at some point I'll have to pick one of the various build options to actually start with.

Sleep -> eat -> walk dogs -> play -> sleep -> eat -> walk dogs -> play -> BBQ -> sleep

And the cycle continues.

After reading the patch notes, I bought two tubes of another product.
I have bought and placed a porta potty in my bedroom with an extra large storage space.
