The biggest nerf in 2.4.0

Not really. I think its just human nature. When your lvl of dissatisfaction for something reaches a certain lvl, you will start to see flaws in it everywhere.

Lets see this way: EarthQuake is(was) Overpowered compared to other melee skills. True.

So balance team 1: -Lets only nerf it a bit, so other melee skills are as attractive as it.

Balance team 2: -Lets buff all other skills, and buff monster life, so all melle skills are attractive as earthquake.

Nerf is good to balance, works the same path as buffing the rest. If used right. And i saw only nerfs to overpowered things (at least the most).

Eartquake mtx buyers already know nerf(balance) was comming, not like its was a huge nerf.

EQ seeing 20% less multiplicative damage, 12% reduced radius and if you went juggernaut, now have a 30% to get all your charges instead of a 100%. How that isn't a huge nerf is beyond me!

Please someone get this guy out if here!

You both have been supporters for years and yet you still weren't expecting OP FotM builds to get nerfed like they always eventually do?

I expected a nerf. That isn't the problem. In my case i saved up currency in leagues to build a rainbownuke mjolner build on standard to play with in between leagues.
Since mjolner is completely gutted right now i lost about 80+ex of currency/time investment.
I think that's a bit too harsh tbh. Shit like this makes me not want to support the company any more.

I really REALLY hate when people start bring up economy and currency, as if GGG decides on values before balancing.

Value is in the players eyes, and GGG can change things at any time. THey could make Mjolner a 100% drop from Hillock on normal, and let things fall where they may.

It's not GGG's place to balance players implied value of items.

GGG could say, due to these changes, were giving every character 100 EX on Standard, whether they had Mjolner or not. So you would get your Ex back, any everyone else would get free exalts, and the price would plummet.

So no, cannot balance around currency.
No offense but you guys had to have known this was going to happen. When skills or items start breaking the game, then you know at some point they will be brought down to a more reasonable level. When they buffed juggernaut... everyone knew this was going to be an issue. CoC has been an issue for awhile now.
Discharge has always been considered a top tier skill, and with more and more ways to generate charges, it has only gotten better over time. You start combining all this and it starts breaking the game.

If you didn't see this was going to happen... then you're just being foolish then.

It was a Russian mtx pet and it looked fucking stupid for a "dark and gritty" game.

I wonder how many of the people who complained about the russian whatever-it-is red pet also used builds called 'rainbow nuke' that filled the screen with fucking unicorn fart glitter 20 times per second and stayed in full immersion mode.

Somebody on this forum has done some calculations as to the damage nerf on mjolner discharge in this patch. If memory serves its around 19% effectiveness after patch for single discharge mjolner.

That wasn't taking into account the secret cooldown they haven't announced the specifics of yet.

If the cooldown is in line with coc's, then it will be at 1.9% effectiveness.

I hardly think that constitutes bringing "down to a more reasonable level".

If you do, then your understanding of the English language isn't the same as mine, and your definition of words isn't the same as the Oxbridge dictionary.

It's a fantasy ARPG. Destroying monsters with a barrage of spells isn't immersion-breaking, it's expected. I can't say the same about little cartoon mascots running around town.

Plus you have the option to avoid CoC and avoid partying with CoC builds if you don't like it. You aren't forced to look at its visual effects at any point. Whereas you don't have a choice about who you randomly run into in town.
double post, sorry (please delete)

You know u wont quit because of nerfs. I bet you will have more fun shaking stuff and making new fun builds working. Of course too strong mechanics will get nerfed in the future, so aim for fun, aim for skills u like most, not the most efficiency supported by all know broken mechanics.

Yes i hope standart gets a clean version, with no more legacy versions too.

I wont quit, you are right there, until a new game comes along. I will certainly play less and I will no longer financially support them.

I always only use the skills I like most, as I stated I primarily play various gs builds.

I am talking principles here and GGG's balancing of income instead of game mechanics.

I mean come on, earthquake mtx sale 2 days before nerf. It's not the first time that's happened either.

So you are no qutting a game u generally dislike.

Looks like u got some addictions issues bro, that would also explain your childish behavior and unrational negativity.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

A lot of people have addiction issues, the gaming industry would collapse without that.

Could you plz state an example of my irrational negativity.
