The Void - what will it give? [creator post inside]

I got this

Not even legacy Surgeon, pfft.

Don't know what to think about it. Well anyway I got this from, well, idk where but not higher than t10 so whatever.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

div card the surgeon gives surgeons magic flask, this is in line with my theory so far
Spreading salt since 2006
It would also fit the mechanics of the cards... with no fields selected on the design, it fills them randomly.

I'm back from work, so I'll post a little more info.

I originally wanted the card to be blank, like seriously blank. It would have been just the card template with no text, no words, no picture, and not even a card count. For obvious reasons, that was shut down. They asked me to think of a name and some flavour text, at the least, and I came up with The Void.

The devs are the ones that decided to leave the item description blank, which I found to be absolutely delightful, a nice throw-back to my original idea.

I don't know the exact mechanics, since I didn't give them much to work with (literally, I told them I wanted a card that said nothing), but I do know that the card gives one item from a set of possible items.

So, it doesn't give nothing. You get something from nothing. It also, as far as I know, doesn't do anything with microtransactions (though, a card that does give a micro would be a cool idea...call it The Tailor or something).

I'm absolutely loving the crazy ideas you guys are coming up with for possible rewards.

Sadly, I don't know the rarity of the card, but I imagine since it's a 1/1 it isn't going to drop all of the time. I also don't know where it drops, but I could guess that it would have something to do with the new areas since they waited this long to release it (it showed "Art Complete" since April).

I might start a thread on Friday for people to post what they pulled from the Void.

And you didn't pick "Tabula rasa 2, The rasaning continues"?
I found and turned in a The Void yesterday and got 40 identify scrolls(e.g. The Scholar reward). It seems to just give a random Div card reward.
Where are people finding this card?
I just found it in a map. Ghetto I believe.

I haven't heard back from Support about it yet, but it looks like this is our mechanic. Bummer.

My original design was that it was straight up "any item". Obviously, it would have to be any item that's not legacy and whatnot, but I felt good about it.

The came about while I was chatting with my buddy Cig. I had just bought the supporter pack that let you make a div card, and he and I were tossing ideas back and forth.

I suggested a blank card that would just give anything. It would be either the most useful card in the game or the least. He laughed, I laughed...and then I submitted it.

Before the reroll of the Hall of Grandmasters, I had one in there that was level 1 marauder with no armour, the first club, and the Razor footprints. I tend to act on impulse...

Anyways, until Support gets back to me, I'm going to assume that they changed the mechanic to have it drop the reward from any set of div cards. Not my original idea, but the introduction of The Void had caused a pretty nice stir in the community, so I guess it's a success.

That's actually not a bad reward... you will definitely be hearing some great success stories.
