Survey: Are you happy with Atlas of Worlds or not

I'm pretty hyped up on the Atlas. I'll probably skip the league though, due to the very high amounts of randomness involved in essences. Should be fun enough filling out the Atlas on standard.
Id prefer essences over reliving Warbands and Talisman League. Atleast youll actually be able to roll the league mods.

I probably found like, a total of 1 chaos warband and out of all the Warband farming i did i probably found 5-8 Helmets total that entire league, which is funny because i found a fraction of that relatively easily from the prophecies.

Not great bases though, one of them is technically bricked and a bad base, the other one can still be scoured with a master mod to be saved and rolled again.

I have a few unrolled ones as well in standard from Warbands but theyre like ilvl 72 or something, those ones are 77 and 79 i believe or something.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

I think with this expansion, Path of Exile moved toward casual gaming . It's a pity that you can now have all of the master in the Hideout , so you do not have to choose which master you take in the Hideout . The same with the maps . You get something prescribed and is limited. You can not decide for themselves . Thank you GGG . If PoE is more casual I'm gone

How does having more Masters (which I assume will only happen if they are Level 8) "make the game casual"? More like a nice QOL change so you don't have to cycle through them in Standard really.
I agree that it is a QOL, but have they said whether or not we get to do dailies from all of them or what it takes for us to invite all 8 yet ? If we can do all of their dailies every day that is a pretty big deal especially for rotations, but thats entirely dependent on whether or not we get to do more dailies and how and when we get to invite all of them.

Are we happy with Atlas of Worlds? I dont know. I don't know how any of you can have anything other than loose speculation on what might come with AoW. Why? Because none of us have played it yet. So...all we can do is speculate.

Concerning the direction the game is going(my personal opinions):

-I hate that AC points are locked behind the Labyrinth. I would prefer the Lab be just an additional endgame content for the enchants, difficulty, extra reward...not for a core pillar of the game.

-I think the game is still immensely difficult for the common player. If you are solo self found (i.e. not teaming up, not having twitch followers send you gear, not trading, etc)...the game is pretty difficult. I should know because its the only way I play. So for me, the question of "is the game catering to casual" is answered with a "no."

-Atlas of Worlds looks like an additional layer of mapping quality (pardon the pun). It looks good...we'll see.

-Trading is still complete and utter garbage which is why I try to stay away from it. When I tell friends that are thinking of playing PoE about the trading in game, they laugh. Its archaic, dull, frustrating, annoying. Who has time (other than no lifer twitch streamers) to be a trading tycoon?

Am I happy with the direction of the game? Yes and no. AoW might be a small small step in the right direction depending on how it plays out (those shaper orbs better not be as rare as chaos orbs).
If they falter with this expansion and maybe the next...might tell the tale if I move on.

NO,

I dont feel like its gonna bring more diversity into the game, introducing new maps are also MEH.. because it gives you the same feeling, and honestly.. who the fck cares about the theme of a map? They care about the layout of it, not the theme..as far as I'm consirned at least.. I'll still play the new league, not because it looks good, because it doesnt, but because trading and prices in standard are crazy.

Ill tell you how.

When people want to complain, but can't think of anything that's actually worthy of complaining,so they just write things.

Because you know...having dailies for every Master will make the game easy mode and ruin it.

PoE became more accessible for people that can't spend all day playing, they however still have to trade and grind if they want to easily beat everything. But i guess, casual means that you can clear gorges and beat 3 boring difficulties in 2 days. Though i'd love to see casuals beating ubers/core/uber lab 3 keys, the new 5 bosses, and farming all reds with no problems, and no trading.

If you are a casual that cannot spend more than 2-3 hours a day and don't trade/grind,you will not progress more than t10 maps.

Inc that guy"i did this which you said can't happen",no you didn't,or maybe you got a mirror and geared up in a day.

PS.Define "casual" in this game.

The term "casual" can be very loosely defined as "people I look down on because they play less than I do."
No idea, until I have actually played it :P
Yes.

Previously your only sense of progression in terms of maps is that you have higher tier maps in your stash that you can run. This wasn't something you could really see your progress in over time, and the game didn't keep track of what you completed (unless it was part of a challenge). The Atlas fixes this, and gives some incentives for trying out maps you have not done yet.

The addition of region-specific loot also gives a good reason to vary where you farm. That said, I think Tempests and Warbands did a better job of that (since their location moved over time) and would really like to see them return now that we have the Atlas to actually track these events.

More variety in maps and more interesting bosses is also always a good thing.

I'm not personally interested in the T16 content, but having another end-game option for what players can do is always good.

If we want to include other things that are in the patch outside of the Atlas... then performance improvements are always appreciated! And I am not going to complain about making unique strongboxes more common since they're fun events that should be able to be experienced by more players.
Waiting to see if Ascendancy character progression continues to be gated behind Labyrinth. If so, another skip. If it never changes I'll happily call it quits on PoE - Don't want to salt the 4 sweet years of enjoyment.

This time specifically because of Labyrinth. My Prophecy skip was 50% lab/ 50% due to it being a reboot of Izaro which I damn near went no-lifer on.
I'm the Ps guy: Psomm, Pso, Psong, pso-on and pso-phorth.
Yes! Based on the information available so far anyway..

Because it gives me a reason to do ALL the maps for one. It also makes mapping have some sort of reason or point to mapping. Something to work towards. I also like the many different things we will be able to do to maps as well as giving a reason to actually down boss's.

I still need patch notes though so i can plan builds without feeling like i may be wasting my time.. But that's soon to come.. Wish it was a little more than 2 days before the patch but we cant always get what we want.

There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.
The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear.
