Never seen a Zod rune - Never seen a Mirror.

The interesting thing about this reveal is that neither really matters. In D2, it really didn't matter if you never saw a Zod drop, and in PoE it doesn't matter at all if you get a mirror or five. The game doesn't depend on these rare events to be good. Look at a game like Lineage. It requires rare events (not as rare as zods and mirrors, but still pretty rare) to advance in the game. You need to grind to advance. Some like it... some don't.

PoE doesn't require grind... but it's there if you want it.

Lineage hm you mean making scripts in AC tool that do the +ing on those weapons, instead of breaking your finger?

But yeah I agree, lineage was a really grindy game.
lineage is a mmo

a lot of mmos are grindy
Those items would be something special if they couldn't be traded for. Amassing common currency and buying from an asian botter or a russian duper kind of defeats the purpose of the game, yet that's what every player does. I'll never understand why they even play at all...

ok next level: hc was yesterday

SSF OR NOOB GTFO
So I bound the same audible tone for both exalts and mirrors but it sounds very close to my other must pick up currencies. The other week I hear it go off as I'm trying to kill the dog and bird in the T12 map but I've died so many times this level that I'm scared of losing even more XP, so I think, whatever it's probably just a fuse or chrome totally not worth dying over. I leave it. A few days later an exalt drops and the tone sends shivers down my spine because now I'm not so sure it was just a random currency but may have actually been an exalt or even worse, a freakin mirror. Haunts me to this day that I'll never know, and that I may have possible left a mirror without even just risking a visual check ;-;

the laws of statistics say it almost certainly wasn't a mirror.
The laws of sod, murphy and troll say it almost certainly was.
If you can afford them, what's the big deal about the drop?

Hey, I played D2 waaay too much for quite a few years and I never found a stone of jordan :) Found most runes (no ZOD) and most of the really cool uniques, but never a SOJ...

Mirror? If I want one, I go to the bathroom, not to POE...
May your maps be bountiful, exile
I actually found a ZOD back in the day.... but mirrors keep avoiding me.. but you know what? I actually like that fact ... dangling carrot or not XD
