no, i haven't tried. It may work, but often bosses has adds and im just too lazy to do that :D.

Full cold penetration vs bosses seems like a no-brainer for a hardcore ice spear build tbh.

Saves a gem slot/saves curses etc etc

It is situational, on other hand occultist against not overcapped resistances like 35%/40% frostbite is usually enough to bring resistances down, also frostbite gives increased freeze duration which is neat. Also i sticked to occultist because of power charge on crit node and es (well there is an enchant now, which can replace that node i suppose).

It can freeze daresso too, it just that i lost charges in video to that random death. started freezing him at 6p charges out of 10 maximum.

Yeah i know:D

before recording tried yellow abyss, got instantly wrecked at koam, there was whole arena with shocked ground and multiple projectiles from pits. Can't really do yellow maps, maybe with 10k es and better leeching would be possible.. nah, 10k would be still too low for all crazy mods.

Just a quick question about this build.
I used to do few FP build using chaos, before chaos was a thing and after seeing ur video I though about chaos Ice Spear.
Would you mind having a loot at this tree at let me know what you think?


Oh and btw instead of 2 void batteries ( that I can not afford in prophecy), I would use 2x apep rage for this chaos build.

well it could work, but without freezing using ice spear as a base it will be a bit weak (but certainly stronger than cold variant), fireball would be a lot better at this thou (with consuming darks). Also it may be difficult to keep enemies at distance to deliver damage from ice spears 2nd form without freezing.

Haven't tried chaos setup, skill tree looks ok, it may actually work, thou probably will be still challenging to get going.
