GGG is smarter than that. For the sole reason to prevent people from messing with the files, it simply won't happen.

If it did, someone will just write a new tool to work with the new GGPK file format. Then, GGG would be back to where they are now, minus a lot of money and time that was wasted.

The only solution fitting for their perspective is to say "it's against the rules, so don't do it" and ensure anything people can change, doesn't actually affect the game. So far, they have done a wonderful job with that, in my opinion (other than the communication part).

If anyone did come up with GGPK file modifications that actually affected the game itself, then I'm sure they'd work to correct it as soon as they knew about it.
