Sorry to come across short and semi disrespectful, I do understand trying to eliminate the "common" or obvious first, however there are multiple posts from people all over geographically. They are all having a common problem and for 95% of them, they claim it's only happening with PoE and everything else works fine (me being one of them).
A lot of people have posted MTR's and many have not, but I feel like that's a typical "by the book" response. I've personally had this problem since Friday (the 24th), tried contacting my ISP, a new router, a different machine... rebooting/power cycling everything with no success and yet more and more posts are still being started regarding the same issue. I believe there is just too much for this to be some coincidence. Especially since a lot of these post have sprung up with the latest path(es).
Is it too much to ask for GGG to at least humor us and say somewhere, website/twitter ANYWHERE, that they are aware of it and at least looking into things on their end too?
Agreed!

I hate complaining but maybe the squeaky wheel will get the grease. I recently returned after leaving POE 3 months after initial launch. The reasons i left initially i hoped would have already been addressed and patched 3 years down the road. Ice, Flame, Desecration, and rain effects are to this day horribly incorporated into the game. I recently purchased the new Geforce 1080 as I had heard reports that it vastly helped with the FPS issues within the game. It seems GGG is more concerned with releasing mystery boxes than to address the important core foundations of the game engine. Every week crops a new glitch within the game which promptly receives a temporary band-aid until the next coding problem surfaces. it would be refreshing to see Dev input on addressing these performance issues in the future.

New player here (started first char on Thursday, London realm) and I've been having similar issues. Friday had a few problems but it's been pretty much unplayable for me since Sunday. I've tried most of the above with no success. The usual is a long load into town and then unresponsive when trying to do anything or enter pretty much any map. When it actually loads, it's usually enough to get 5/10% exp to a level and then have the lag just kick in a remove any progress. Most of my gems can't level up as I don't meet the level requirement. I've probably gained/lost about 3-4 levels worth of exp just trying to get this working.
It's a damn shame as I intended to throw money at this but with the game being unplayable it's difficult to justify that. It's also pretty frustrating as I was impressed by the general stability on Thursday/friday and by the end of the weekend.... not so much.
I'd gladly post any required logs etc if needed. Various network modes have been tried too, no obvious difference.
