You should only wear 3 (max 4) Uniques, depending on which Uniques you take. As long as you get min. 4.5k Life / 7k ES and capped Resistances you should be fine. I will give you some Options here and show you my Gear in the End.

All the Items shown in this Section are with the most Optimal Affixes. Don't think you can get Gear like that unless you spent tons of Exalts (most likely in Standard). It is just to show you, what is possible/optimal with/for the Build. Resistances can be a bit over the Top.

Lifebased


Build Requirements:
47 Strength (121 Strength in total)
1592 Accuracy on Gear to reach 95% Hit Chance. Everything above 90% is good though.
127 Resistances on Gear (+34% for Elemental Weakness)
Added Lightning Damage to Attack is equally as good as Elemental Damage with Weapons (good Lightning Roll = good WED Roll). Both are better than Fire Damage and way better than Cold Damage.


High Evasion, high Life, Accuracy and missing Resistances.


This Chest provides a nice Movementspeed boost and has good Life and Resistances. The Average Cost to color it BBBGGR is 312.6 Chromatic Orbs (Vorici - 1 Blue).


High Evasion, Life and missing Resistances. Use an Essence of Hysteria on Evasion Gloves. This gives us a lot of Damage for Kinetic Blast. The Implicit (Curse Enemies with lvl 12 Elemental Weakness on Hit) is possible to achieve with a Vaal Orb. It is hard to get and you can ruin your Gloves by vaaling them. Only try to get it if you have another nice pair of Gloves lying around.


Atziri's Step are really nice Boots. They give a lot of Evasion, Life, Movementspeed and Dodge. Try to get the Lightning Damage to Attacks Enchantment or the "0.6% of Damage Leeched as Life and Mana if you've Killed Recently".


Just try to get a lot of Elemental Damage (preferably Lightning and Fire Damage), Elemental Damage with Weapons, High Crit (10%+), Attack Speed and Crit Multiplier.


For the Shield focus on defensive Stats (high Life and Evasion + missing Resistances).


High Life, Elemental Damage with Weapons and missing Resistances are what you are looking for. Reduced Flask Charges used and increased Flask Charge Duration are QoL Bonus (Especially for high Tier Bosses). You could also take a Heavy Belt + Amber Amulet Combo so you do not need Strength on your Gear elsewhere.


Opal Rings are the Best in Slot for this Build. High Life, Resistances, Accuracy and high flat Lightning/Fire Damage/inc. elemental Dmg with Weapons are what you are looking for. WED = Lightning Damage > Fire Damage.


Talismans do have really nice Implicits (Crit Multi and inc. Damage are Best in Slot). Missing Resistances (if you need), Accuracy, high Lightning Damage, %WED, Crit Multi and missing Strength. For an Amulet get an Amber Amulet to get some needed Strength.


You are striving for ~90% Crit, so you get a lot of Charges back. The Evasion is nice for Defenses and Movement Speed.


With 20 Extra Charges you can use this Flask up to 3 Times. Bleed Immunity speaks for itself.


Nice Damageboost and Leech. Try to get 15% Elemental roll.


Get a high Lightning Damage to Attacks roll. Vinktars is just OP. Nothing more to say. If you have the Legacy Version you can get rid of Vaal Pact.


Extra Charges so you can use it 4 Times and a high Movementspeed roll.

Other Options


This Wand is pretty good for the Build and is very cheap. If you use this, Flat Elemental Damage on Jewelry is probably better than %WED.


A nicely rolled Diamond Ring is the 2nd best Option you have for Rings.


(Left Ring Slot obv.) This Ring is nice if you have Problems with Reflect Monsters or Reflect Maps.


A nice Damage Option until you need more Life.


Rat's Nest is probably better if you have enough Accuracy and still need some Crit. The Movementspeed and Attackspeed are nice too. It's up to you if you wanna use Rats Nest or a good rolled Evasion Helmet. Rat's Nest is probably easier and cheaper to get if you want to swap to CI/LL later on.


These Gloves are really nice. They give a 5th Link to our KB Setup, flat Lightning Damage and Attack Speed for both - KB and Barrage. The 100% increased Shock Duration on Enemies synergizes nicely with our Vessel of Vinktar. This could even be the Best Option overall.


If you have these Gloves you can get rid of Vaal Pact.


Only an Option if you have the 90% Crit Multi One and have 90%+ Crit Chance.


Nice Crit Option. It has no Life though.


Good defensive Option if you have Problems with Physical Damage.


Good offensive and defensive Option. I guess I would use this over Lightning Coil.


With this Shield you don't need Accuracy.


If you wanna use this Shield you pretty much have to play with a Decoy Totem. It gives you nice Leech.


Nice Defence but sadly no Life.



CI


Focus on ES, missing Resistances and Accuracy (if needed). Try to get the 2 additional Barrage Projectiles Enchantment on it.


Essence of Hysteria Gloves. High ES, missing Resistances.


High ES, missing Resistances.

Do the Normal Lab around Level 45-48, Cruel 68-70, Merciless 80-83, Uber 87-90.
Then you shouldn't have any Problem.

for the Crown of Eyes Version:
Spell Damage while using a Shield is better than Attack Speed with Wands and %Spell Damage is equally as good as Projectile Damage.

hey, yeah. Going to post a Video tomorrow. testing a CI Version right now. It might be better :)

I'm currently building this, seems very promising so far. Just reached Dried Lake, so I should hit 75-80 in a few hours. I have some problems getting the needed Int and Str though. Around 200 Int and 150 Str is a lot for a Ranger.

A few questions:

- Is CWDT really worth it? Do we even need it when we shatter enemies anyway? Getting 3 red on ES/Evasion gear seems to be quite an investment.

- Why are we taking Fast and Deadly? It's just a stat boost, or am I mistaken? Wouldn't Rupture be better? (So: Far Shot, Endless Munitions, Powerful Precision, Rupture)

- Also, are there any other uniques (except Crown of Eyes and Maligaros) we could take to either boost DPS or defense? This build uses so many rares and can reach 75% res quite easily, especially since we use a shield.

right now I'm testing the CI Version of the Build. Will update this Guide later today. You can get tankier, get the same DPS and it's way easier to get the Int. I dropped the Decoy Totem though. so you only need 111 Strength for lvl 20 Reduced Mana, Less Duration, Inc. Duration.

CWDT isn't that necessary. I don't use it either.

ye, Fast and Deadly is a big Stats boost tho. I've tried Powerful Precision/Rupture as 8th Ascendency and I feel like Powerful Precision is the better one since it boosts your DPS and you don't need the bleed because you can kill Bosses pretty easy with 4-6 Frost Walls up. Also testing Spell Totem Frostwalls to get them up easier, so I can move around to be more safe.

You could go Cospri's Will. So you could take Poacher's Mark instead of Blood Rage. Plus you can cast Vulnerability on Bosses and Poison them (free 6th/7th Link). For more Damage you could go for the Beast Fur Shawl Chest.
For safety you could get Dream Fragments (you can't get frozen). For Damage you could go Victarious Acuity or Marylene's Fallacy (since you have 85-93% crit Chance with Power Charges up).

Good to know that this build can go CI as well. I don't have the currency for it atm, but I'll probably change to it when I have it.

I have some problems with the mana leech though. Got Crown of Eyes with a shitty (0.45, 0.38) roll, that doesn't seem to be enough mana leech / my DPS (11k w/o, 20k w/ charges) is too low.
I can't sustain mana when fighting bosses / strong rares. I probably have to switch in the gem instead of SlowerProj or something.. or get clarity, idk. Or just divine up the CoE.
You should probably add in that you need enough DPS to make CoE work correctly.

Had a lvl 75 ranger with full passive reset so I gave it a try.. invested 30c for the gear, bought most gems lvl 11 from vendor and the others I had at lvl 1. At the moment sitting at 7k dps and 1shotting whole screens at merciless and up to t4 maps. crazy af.. thats with 3 powercharges 2 to go and 2 jewels to go xD also like 80% more dmg from tree holy fk this sht is nasty
Hey man I am planning to go ES for this, what do you suggest for the armor I have a ton of budget, so my choices are 6L shavs vs 900 ES Vaal regalia 6l. Also what would a high end phys wand look like? thanks in advance.

Yeah. I think I used the Manaleech Nodes down in the Tree next to the Frenzy Charge and Proj Dmg etc

upgraded my gear a bit went from 70-81 in a bit over a day. so far can easy fast clear whole screens until t8/t9. Still missing 1 powercharge and some other dmg nodes. Build is very efficient, it takes about 2min to full clear dried lake people in public farming parties go all day like "wtf how can u 1shot everything in 6 man group". Really great build.
