Then all non-game related symbols should not be used. Not only to not offend anyone, but to also stop these stupid discussions. If I was running things, this is how I would do it. In my last post I said that because it DOES offend people, I don't care if you think the symbol is actually a good thing, it does offend and should be removed.

These discussions only bring back and forth fighting that will never end and will not make anyone happy. This is a game forum, lets talk about gaming and leave religion out of this.

The problem with being offended is that is subjective example : in a room there are 4 people of different cultures. Another fifth person enters the room sits at a table where all of them are sitting and pulls out a knife. 2 people jump in fear and run for the door 1 takes a combat position and 1 sits calmly at the table.
The guy who has the knife asks: what happened? i just want to cut a slice of bread. So it was just one event that had different meanings for different people but the event was neutral. 3 people thought it was a sign of hostility and reacted to it one went with another subjective response. So the point is if you get offended it just might be that you dont know what happened and that your own interpretation of said event symbol etc. is the thing that causes offense. No offense :).

It is obviously only forbidden if you can mistake the Swastika for a Nazi Symbol.

I.E. if a stupid Nazi or someone manifacturing clothes uses the Swastika it is banned and he will get banhammerd.
If some Indians use it for privat purposes there is no problem with it.



Now regarding to the forum thread. We do not know why he used the (wrong/bad luck) Swastika. However because he used the bad luck version of it we have to assume that he is stupid and he wants to provoke people.
And that's why threads like this should be deleted.

I like your story. Listen, all I saying is to care for the people that is does offend. If this hurts someones family, lets say your family. Even after educating them about the meaning, it still hurts them. Would you tell them to grow a pair and stfu? knowing it is your family and you care about your family, you would remove the symbol.

This can be said about lots of stuff, I know that. The cross, nudity, gore, sex. However a line has to be drawn somewhere or we would have beastiality on live TV. look what 6 years did to a 5000+ year old symbol. It was that bad, so bad that most view the symbol as evil. My Ex girlfriend who is jewish would be offended by it. I believe this symbol should be where the line is drawn on these forums. Why is it not ok to call someone a ni***r on these forums but it is ok to display what most would call a evil symbol? This symbol is not offensive to me, I don't care for it, I am not jewish, I am black. I don't even care about racism in movies or black jokes, i think that shit is funny actually. I am a person that would care for others, this is not wrong.
