Diablo III will crush this game...hell with ur beta!
" It's possible that Diablo 3's popularity and high sales (which will more than likely be the case regardless of how good it actually is) could actually HELP PoE. D3 will likely bring in a lot of gamers new to the ARPG genre. Those that like it will likely look for other games that are similar and with PoE being free to play there is little reason for them not to give it a try, especially if it gets solid reviews. If D3 is a complete failure the ARPG genre as a whole will likely suffer from it. Publishers like proven formulas and there are very few developers that can create a game without their financial backing. I'm hoping D3 is a huge success so that this genre grows diversifies over the next 5-10 years and smaller developers such as GGG will likely benefit from it if it does. well diablo 3 is guaranteed to come out by march. they promised it to anyone who bought a year's subscription of WOW. Which means its now a binding contract.
Anyway, I don't see how you can compare the two games, while they have the same concept (hack 'n slash dungeon crawler) They approach it from two different ways, both in system and story. So no, I don't see diablo 3 "totally ripping this game up" |

Just want to point something out. Look at the shear number of ARPG games that have hit the market sence Blizzard anounced they were making Diablo 3. And the guy that said nobody plays Pay2win, look up perfect world some time. Millions of fools and their moneys part ways to play that even though they do not have to. I am very ineterested in playing both after release and subsequint patching of coarse. I do think they wil both have pro's and cons. POE will undoubtedly have less story driven content while Diablo already have something like 7 novels about backstory. I am in no way a fan boy and I'm enjoying the mindless hacking in the POE beta.
I think both will need their just due's and true game play testing by each and everyone actually interested in both, to make an educated choice of which is better and those choices will be up to the individual. The problem both games will suffer from are the fanboys trying to make their freinds feel out of place becuase they are playing an inferier game. Fanboys are mindless followers to begin with so this is expected. Anyways my 2 cents worth. Hardware data for beta testing.

" No they didn't. And by all other indications, D3 won't be out before March. |

" Path of Exile = Free Diablo III = Inflated Console Prices for PC Game Hmmm... your logic is flawed and absurd. A free game of this caliber will do VERY well. But then I see you haven't even tested it... so... Join the Veterans of War! See the thread in Off-topic for details. Last edited by PrimusPalus#6182 on Jan 19, 2012, 9:27:03 AM
