Of course D3 is going to sell more. They have a massive company behind them, far more human and capital resources, marketing, etc.
Doesn't mean it's going to be a better game. They've watered down Diablo 3 so much that it's impossible to fail. You cannot make mistakes anymore; it's impossible. They've removed player choice and automated it. It's going to sell like wildfire to casual gamers, who will pick it up, play for a two or three months, then move onto the next big title. Most of the PoE crowd are looking for a more Diablo 2-like experience, which Diablo 3 doesn't provide. |

What about player skill like positioning and stuff?

facts are facts, D3 will initially sell more, but like all of their games, they get boring. I'm willing to bet that Path of Exile does better than D3 in the long-term, but D3 will do better in the short-term.

I for one, can't stand what Blizzard has turned Diablo 3 into. It's gone from a dark and gritty horror game, into a colourful, unscary fetch quest game. It's lost so much of it's atmosphere that I wouldn't even call it horror anymore. POE wins that contest by default.
Not to mention that it is going to end up being a Diablo equivelant of WOW and we all know what most WOW players are like: minmaxing narcissistic nerds. ( pulls out nerdbegone spray. |

iam a nerd but I m proud of myself, i told myself not to ever touch WOW and i never did. Wow gameplay=not my cup of tea, wow fanbase=mostly single-minded dumbarses to me. And now that they are turning d3 into wow => no, thanks. But it's a shame really, i am an avid fan of diablo series eversince diablo 1 first announced.

The main problem with Blizz Diablo was that there were 2 or 3 build for class (playable) and one was OP (with certain item of course). Not to mention Hemmerdin which could everywhere as he pleased.
In PoE i see many possibilities of character growth. Passive skill tree looks astounding and skill gems adds a lot of depth to the game. I can only hope that skill tree will grow even bigger :D |

Ha ha, it is not about which one i will love, but more in the line of " where am i going to get all the time needed to play D3 and POE".

Blizzard might as well step down I have seen gameplay this game is going to smoke Diablo 3 unless you just kissing Blizzards butt you must be mad because you didn't get a beta invite yet its ok.
