you can apply things like fortify on a shield charge but again with no damage. Does anyone know if any other skills can apply an ignite or shock in the same manor while under ancestral bond?

I know you can use Scorching Ray and Frost Bomb to apply resistance debuffs to enemies, you can still get burning on an enemy via firetrap. For shocks, I personally like to use shock nova traps to apply those, as it's a huge shock chance, and you can even still do damage with them (probably triggering Elemental Equilibrium, but I'm no EE expert here). Pretty much, any skill that adds a debuff not dependent on damage still works while under AB
