Anyway, here's a link directly to the Frostbolt thread The tl;dr of it is: - Frostbolt is very good as a damage skill on its own for pack clearing. - It moves slowly. - It's not that great when self-casting vortex or ice nova. Probably just cast more frostbolts instead. - It works fine with CoC vortex/ice nova. Order of linking is important btw; experiment with it. - The ice/nova vortex interaction doesn't work if you're using totems or traps though. My frostbolt is doing 550-850+ at 45. Clears stuff completely out of sight. Expect a major major nerf.

Frostbolt is nice but i think it lacks the single target scaling compared to the other single target spells. I used and leveled with it and ice nova until about 80 and i noticed it just wasnt doing enough damage for single target. Its pretty damn nice though if you want to play super safe with ice nova.
Cast frostbolt, spam your spell echoed ice nova. Unfortunately no really cool interactions with it i can think of. It would be pretty neat if you could Sire of Shards echo nova but it only applies to one projectile in the direction you hover your mouse to. It has pretty high base damage, you could do 100% fire conversion and maybe make a burning proliferation build or something but i feel like the current spells would do that better (especially now that burning discharge is back). Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

" Same as vortex, it's initial hit harder than ice nova, and the aoe dot it leaves basically doubles its damage per cast and the dot part also double dips. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Do a dual kinetic blast coc wand, gmp bubble bath... epic.
Add frost walls if you can afford a 5L (ics/fa if 6L) "Im smartest. Your stoped. Dael wiht it."

It's a solid skill, not super-amazing but decent enough.
The projectile speed can feel annoying slow at times, but the damage is decent and helps make Ice Spear look even worse. "Let those with infinite free time pave the road with their corpses." - reboticon

People are overrating it by alot. Its not a good skill.
