What's the best way to farm for Orbs?

Quantity affects orb drops, due to more items being dropped, so increasing the chances of a orb dropping. Quality doesn't affect the orb drops. The only way quality affects drops is more magic/rare/unique items, which you can either sell or vendor for orbs.. So it still increases orb drops, just indirectly.

Increasing your Rarity percentage will increase the likelihood that you will find Magic, Rare or Unique items. Increasing your Quantity percentage will increase the amount of Orbs you find.

I heard something about once you fight monsters at level 63 or higher, that extra levels do not count towards that (adding -2.5%), can anyone validate this?

What *I* heard was that when there is a great difference between MY level and the MONSTER's level, there is also a penalty in item drops (not only in experience gain).

it takes few things to make an orbhunter
you need portal (so you can sell the portal scrolls for ids) you need high iiq so you can outlevel the area hard to give an example i get rares in fellshrine cruel with 72 130iiq/224iir you need some rarity 100 should be enough to get plenty of blues alteration orbs are the endgame everyone uses tons of them is his whole playtime thats the key the reason why andvarius and co are so expensive they give tons of mf in only 1 slot hmm i thought iiq affects orbdrops maybe i reasearch that one you have a 16% chance to drop an item out of a mob so it could be an orb and the iiq should help to increase the itemdropchance or is my logic flawed ? https://poe-ssf.herokuapp.com/. ventiman: really good explanation, I think you covered a lot of things. Thank you! Indeed, I don't have the Portal gem yet, even after playing 5 characters to level 40. I guess I'll have to painfully wait for that.
