It is. I've confirmed that what I have is all in-game.
I can only provide the player-character dialogue; that's all I needed for my purpose. Some of the later ones I've not heard yet, but I checked with Andrew and he said they're in there. Maybe the volume needs tweaking. First post:
All class quotes in game acts 1-3, event reactions.
On waking up on the beach and/or entering the terraces: T: My nightmares...they were prophecy. D: Not the most pleasant of arenas, but it’ll have to do, for now. M: This land is wounded. R: I’ve not seen a wilderness like this before. There’ll be some dark days ahead. W: The very sand shivers with malice. There’s a power here that welcomes me. S: Nothing like a brisk dip to start the day. Now, where on God’s arse am I? On killing the first zombie (not all classes have one of these): W: The dead will soon rise for me, not against me. T: Even death gives no solace in this tortured land. M: When I kill a man, he stays dead. D: Even the dead rise to challenge me here. On entering the prison: T: In this cage, evil claws at the bars and howls for freedom. D: It’s to be a cage fight then. I can live with that. M: A slave is not a man. A slave is not even worthy of death. R: There’s no justice in a place like this. Only misery. W: I’d rather burn than call such a place ‘home’. S: Theopolis prison’s a child’s playhouse compared to this. They sure don’t make them like they used to. On killing Brutus: T: Rest now, tormented soul. D:Skill beats size, every time. M: Now your spirit will be the plaything of the Ancestors, slave master. R: I’ve done for you what I would do for any wounded animal, Brutus. W: Had you been my creation, brute, you’d not have fallen so easily. S: “Big” just means “more places to stick a blade”. On Killing Merveil: T: A woman corrupted beyond humanity. I must cure this plague before it sickens all of God’s creation. D: We stand at death’s door. Ladies first, fair Merveil. M: The waiting is over, Merveil. Go to your husband. R: Your love for a man...that’s what did this to you, Merveil. W: Poor fishwife. Twas love that did this to you. S: My first dance with a lady of quality. Pity she let herself go like that. On entering the ship graveyard: T: This is a mortuary for lost children, hidden from the eyes of their Father. D: I almost feel sorry for these doomed sea dogs. M: Ghosts may not bleed, but where there’s life there can be death. R: Life and death live side by side. This is a strange land. W: The sirens appear to be dining well. S: I’m usually the one making the ghosts. Someone’s been busy. On killing Fairgraves: T: Temptation may turn even the noblest of men. I should take heed. D: It’s not every day that I get to duel with a legend. Thank you, Fairgraves. M: The Karui remember you, Fairgraves. Your death will be much celebrated. R: You were a good man in a bad situation, Fairgraves. Rest in peace. W: And that’s how you die properly, sailor boy. No half measures, thank you. S: I almost feel sorry for you, Fairgraves. Dying twice...can’t be fun. On killing Oak: T: You dare to speak for peace, outlaw? There’s the peace your lies have earned you. D: Well fought, Oak. A shame we have only the trees for audience. M: Where are your big words now, bandit king? R: Do some good for once in your sorry life, bandit. Feed the worms. W: This land has no time for capricious little despots like you, Oak. S: Now that’s what you get for bringing a stick to a knife fight. On killing Kraityn: T: You own nothing, thief. Not even the life you wasted on spite and avarice. D: A pity your mind wasn’t as swift as your blades, bridge rat. M: Fast blades. Fast mouth. Swift death. R: The king of rats? A feast for rats now. W: It’s kind of disappointing, really. I usually like rats. S: All that flashy sword-swinging, when all you need is one, good stab. On killing Alira: T: You are thus blessed, daughter of God. He will show you what true friendship is. D: It’s hard to cast a spell with a blade in your throat, eh witch? M: There’s no blacker magic than death, witch. R: I hate to pluck a pretty flower. Even a poisonous one like you. W: You missed a valuable lesson, sister. Never let the power go to your head. S: Did the earth move for you, baby? Probably. You hit the ground quite hard. On Entering the Chamber of Sins: T: The lair of a toymaker with pretensions of godhood. D: A place of soiled dreams. I’ll have to tread carefully here. M: The spirits are restless and angry here. I can feel it in my blood. R: Luxury and cruelty go hand in hand. W: The air stinks of thaumaturgy. I could learn a thing or two here. S: I’ve seen some dark places in my line of work, but this is something else! On releasing the Vaal shadow T: I beg of you, God. Help me to lead this world back into the light. D: This can’t be good. M: I will have to answer to the Ancestors for this. R: This shouldn’t be happening. Not in the world I know. W: How fascinating. You’re not from are here, are you gorgeous? S: This Shadow is starting to feel a little inadequate. On Killing the Oversoul: T: Back where you belong, nightmare. The faithful need not fear your kind. D: A duel like no other. I think I’m starting to like this Wraeclast. M: What’s worse, old god? The pain of defeat, or the shame that it was a mortal man that cut you down? R: ? W: A pity. I think we could have been friends. S: I like darkness as much as the next assassin, but that was overdoing it. On entering the Warehouses T: Life in His right hand, Death in His left. And then there are those who fell through God’s fingers. D: I favour a fair fight. I doubt I’ll get one in this place. M: The night stares at me from broken corners. Only Ra can kill the night. R: Life is nothing without death. That simple truth’s been forgotten from time to time. W: Sad creatures in dark corners. Seems they’ve been sad for a very long time. S: “Treat life and death with equal grace,” it’s said. If I were Death, I’d take offense at this place. On entering the Solaris Temple T: Something eternal remains in this empire. The question is how. D: It’s seems there’s glory in the old empire yet. M: Strange. Age has not touched this place. R: I’ve never felt further from what I know and love. W: I’d love to see the insides of this spell. I can’t abide housework. S: Not a speck of dust or brick out of place. Someone’s got too much time on their hands. On entering the Lunaris Temple T: And so I take my first steps into damnation incarnate. D: Piety’s home away from home. Let’s see if the sick witch is in. M: This is where Pain comes to be worshipped. R: Piety, Piety...you’ve got so much to answer for. W: You either master the Twist, or it masters you. S: Downed a bad vial of lethe-milk once. It felt just like this place. On killing Gravicius T: You chose the road, old friend. God put me at the end of it. D: Dying in battle...the only honourable thing you’ve ever done, Gravicius. M: A warrior leads from the front. A coward dies on his back. R: Without men like you around, Gravicius, this land might just start healing itself. W: You wanted me burned, back in Oriath, Gravicius. That wasn’t very nice. S: Had I killed you back in Oriath I’d have been showered in gold. Where’s the justice, eh? On killing Piety T: Rest while you can, mistress of suffering. Judgement will not go easy on you. D: Sorry, beautiful, but someone had to put a stop to all of this ugliness. M: You were right to hide your face, pretty one. It made it easier to kill you. R: Your death doesn’t fix anything, Piety. But at least it won’t get any worse. W:: I loved your work, Piety. It was you I wasn’t very fond of. S: I try not to take my work personally. But you, Piety, were a satisfying exception. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

I love the accent of the witch.
At least one quote is missing in this thread. When the witch enters the crematorium, she says sth like "Sad creatures [bla bla] sad [bla bla] sad for a very long time." I guess, the other characters say sth, too. |
