How's you feel about the combo?
So far lv30 ish I really REALLY REAAAALLY dragging myself to play this setup... The Vortex initial explosion deal good damage, but the dot afterwards doesn't seems to do much - link it with rapid decay is probably a good idea... |

" I played for like 45 minutes and went to bed! Haven't gotten a chance to play with combo, though I've been using the frostbolt and it's painful. Swapping to firestorm ASAP, for leveling that is. Won't rapid decay reduce the duration of the DoT? I feel that other support gems are better, though I haven't used rapid decay before. It also doesn't double dip on the initial damage + DoT. What side of the skill tree do you go first and same with ascendancy?

Right side, and take conflux + beacon of ruin first. Don't need reflect mitigation till maps, and pendulum is bonus.

Well guys, what are ur thoughts? I lvled with firestorm, switched at 64 to bolt+vortex and im not sure about my opinion. The dot part seems underwhelming. Im stil using 4 link cos my rngesus is an as*hole and I like the initial burst, but the damage over time does nothing and single target is meh...Considering rebuilding it to crit and give up on the dot.
