Agreed, expected much better. Perhaps something about mom signing him up for a summer job/summer camp and his struggles to figure out how to get serviceable wifi there + skip out on all the activities. Needs at least one plot twist like that, preferably three.

lol OP grats on Harvard admission and getting this really cool gift. Don't let it get to your head :)
As for what you might design...hmm. I guess I would lean towards something to address the weakest kind of builds in POE right now (noncrit melee). It'd have to be quite strong in some respect to compete with all the benefits crit melee or ranged, but then if you managed to pull something superb it would def be memorable in POE annals.
