Constant Disconnects

Hello.
new to the game. great fun so far. however, i disconnect every 5-15 minutes and have no idea why. I live in ireland and play on the London or Amsterdam servers, as recommended. I have switched settings to low, updated my graphics card, made sure the game is allowed through my firewall. i have no internet issues as have online gamed for years and this is the first game i have suffered this issue with. please help. i really want to play the game as i have some friends who do and even they are at their wits end. my pc is newish, windows 7 64 bit, 8gig RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series graphics card any help would be appreciated as i would like to continue my adventures 3 disconnects since i posted this 15 minutes ago Last edited by Hekilion on May 29, 2016, 6:43:16 PM Last bumped on Jun 7, 2016, 1:36:05 AM

Hey Hekilion,
I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing disconnection issues. Can you please provide more information about your encounters? Does the client take you back to the log in screen or completely closes down? Can you please check that you have disabled/removed any Antivirus software or firewall settings that may affect your connection, including windows firewall? Can you also please check if you are using any other game optimization programs that would be interfering with game performance? Lastly, I highly suggest running a WinMTR as it will provide us with some details about the connection between your PC and our servers, and can help pinpoint any potential issues. You can find this here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/files/Latest/ Please make sure to run WinMTR while you are experiencing issues in-game, as this will provide us with the most accurate data. |

thanks for the reply. i get taken back to the login screen with the message "an unexpected error has occured" POE is allowed through my antivirus and windows firewall. those were things i made sure of i dont run any other programs while running the game downloaded WinMTR but need a bit of advice. what do i put into the "host" box? | |

I suspect you may be using an out of date version on WinMTR. The latest is 0.92 (here), and you have used the 0.8 version of WinMTR. Sometimes using that outdated version returns a bunch of non-responses.
Also I would double check that your firewall isn't on and interfering with the WinMTR report, as that may also be the reason you are getting no response. ok. done both those things and running it now. i see IP addresses so im guessing its working. will update if it crashes again

just tried it again now. lasted about 30 seconds before i disconnected again. really hope someone can point out whats wrong, otherwise its pointless trying to play the game
