Sanctuary of Thoughts Bugged or Am I Crazy?

I've spent hours testing out the math with gears and without gears. Can anyone help me figure out if "Gain 15% of maximum mana as extra maximum Energy shield" templar Sanctuary of Thoughts is bugged?

-I've 1139 maximum mana without any gear on.
-I've 141% increased maximum energy shield from talent and intelligence.

15% x 1139 = 170.85 (energy shield before 141%)
170.85 x 1.41 = 240.9
240.9 + 170.85 = 411.74 (should be the total energy shield added after all the math)

375 - 48 = 327 (actually total energy shield added from talent not 411.74)


--Screenshot three I took this screenshot to show that I've 141% increased maximum energy shield and the math is perfectly fine with gear. When I put on an 85 energy shield chest (nothing else was changed) my energy shield went from 48 --> 253.

253 - 48 = 205
85 x 1.41 = 120
120 + 85 = 205 (total energy shield increased is correct with gear)

OMG! If I had to do more than add in this game it would drive me bonkers.

huge buffed to this talent from 15% to 25% I really need to know if its bugged or not before Prophecy!

What is your increased mana %? My guess is that the increased mana % bonuses are additive with the ES bonuses, not multiplicative (like how the added fire gem works).

My mana bonus should be 35% increased to maximum mana. If this is the case the talent is bugged! or the wording is wrong. "Gain 15% of maximum mana as Extra maximum Energy shield" should be 15% of my maximum mana which is 1139.

whats your increased ES without int factored in?

I've 273 int which is about 54.6% so 86% increased maximum energy shield without intelligence.

Total ES increased without int factored in should be:

15% x 1139 = 170.85
170.85 x .86 = 147
147 + 170.85 = 317.8

still not 327

It should in fact be:

(base mana * 0.15) * (1.0 + increased_ES + increased_mana)

Please recheck all numbers or post the tree, since I get:

Base Mana = 1139 / 1.35 = 843

ES gained from node:

(843 * 0.15) * (1.0 + 1.406 + 0.35) = ~347 es

I have checked my hierophant.

without gear:
my base mana is:
3307-2418=889 (founded using pledge).
mana increase is 2418/889-1=172% (checked in skill tree, same)
es increase is 35% and 63% from int -> 98%. (1054-521)/269-1=0,98 same from discipline.

this should conclude in- 1 point of base mana should be equal 3,7*0,15=0,555 es. (3,7=1,72+0,98+1)

equipping paua ring with 21 mana i get additional 12 es which is 12/21=57% which is pretty close to 55,5% considering such low numbers were used.

No, all conversions like that apply the increased bonuses only once. Check the wording of the added fire gem, for eg: "Gain (25 to 44)% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage". It's exactly the same wording. Increased bonuses never multiply with each other.
