Explosion Stacks?
So, a question originating from this thread:
Will secondary damage explosions stack? I know Obliteration and Profane Bloom should, and Quecholli + Infernal Blow also has high changes, due to those having the same mechanics. But what about Gratuitous violence with either? I can see how the same mechanic with a chance to happen would just stack chance, and how two explosions guaranteed to trigger, of the same damage type and scaling, would add up damage. But what happens with different damage types, with different trigger chances? Will that still add up? Zaanus: Global chat: Mechanics for A work one way, B for another, C for a third but also with A, B uses C but not A, and D uses A&B but not C ___ Isn't a "no" better than an ignore? Yeah, you can get multiple on death effects from killing one enemy.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I'm usually wrong on this kind of stuff, but my understanding is that if you have the same effect multiple times, e.g. dual wielding Obliterations: Then the chances don't stack, instead each separate modifier has its own chance to go off: sometimes both go off, sometimes just one, sometimes neither. So if you also have Profane Bloom and the enemy is under the effect of Abyssal Cry, then you have an ever so slight chance of all 4 of those explosions going off at once. |
