" Actually, I tried to point out that he somehow doesn't die to reflect Rares. But only dies to maps with the reflect mod. The whole problem I have with this killing everything two screen in front is that in completely outclasses the clear speed of ~95%+ of all other skills/builds and therefor needs to be looked at. It doesn't come with enough drawbacks. Other skills that do the same, and thus also belong to that ~5% (current Spark/LA/etc) should also be addressed. |

He like does less damage then my character can. " You are missing the obvious, they also need to buff power siphon. Both skills should be viable and have a legitimate purpose. It's stupid that the best way to get single target damage as a wander is to drop a frost wall so KB can shotgun. There should be a real single target wand skill. It isn't healthy for the game for aoe skills to be better at single target damage than single target skills are. It also isn't healthy for builds to be so powerful that a single attack clears multiple screens in a party. What is the point of other party members in that scenario? Skills with broken scaling mechanics like LA and KB need to be brought back down to earth in order for other skills to compete with them. What's the point of adding shit like melee totems if you know any build that uses it is playing with a handicap? GGG keeps trying to add skills that promote more tactical gameplay but they barely see use because it's easier to just pick up a piscator's or a voltaxic and blast multiple screens at a time. |

I play a deadeye wander too and I have to agree with goetzjam.
When I play in a gorge / plateau rota with a lowlife Guardian I'm really scared because of reflect and I also wear the reflect ring. Speaking of which, with the ring I can't even play ele weakness maps. I would need insane gear which is not even available in the current temp league. |

" Looks like we found the issue. Every solid ranged build will clear faster than EQ/Trapper. Also I don't think KB is that op. It clears pretty fast, but the survivability isn't all that great. Once you get a certain amount of damage, the only way to survive is 9k+ es with vinktars. It doesn't use wb either. Anyway, the single target with frost wall is ridiculous, especially combined with inquisitor. It's hard to find a boss which takes more than 1 second to kill(except t15 maps, kaom excluded). " This is exactly what I am trying to point out, thank you. The whole KB is more of an example, one that surprised me a bit. The ~95% is just an arbitrary number. There are several skills, mostly ranged skills, that just outperform all most all other skills. The fact that KB is so ridiculous both single target as ranged, just makes it worse. I don't see why its relevant if the skill is popular or not, it has nothing to do with the point I'm trying to make. The fact that every solid ranged clears faster, now thats an issue. |

Absolutely true, that doesn't make it any better though, on the contrary. I would really like to see some change in this superiority of ranged.

" That isn't ever going to change, its really always been ranged > melee and everything GGG tires to do to close the gap has really accomplished nothing. Much like they don't really care about the hardcore player base anymore, they have to present a game that "that majority" will like, which means we have shit temp leagues and design chances that enable stuff like CoC not only to be far more "powerful" then in the past but easier to do and get away with, its actually quite sad when you think about it. The problem is that you would have to nerf ranged so hard that nobody would play it anymore. Melee should have way more damage against bosses or better single target damage which would even it out a little bit more.
