Ideal full time is usually 38 hours a week but in many countries 25 hours plus is full time.
It's a big world out there, gamer.
full-time work week by countries
Which country has 25 hours defined as a full time job? Greece? No wonder they went bankrupt, twice. As people there just try to live on government welfare and enjoy their early reitrement age.
You are as ignorant as they make them. The Greeks are among the most hard working people on the planet, most of them work 12-14 hours a day all these years. Keep believing the media and being brainwashed.
Guess what? Most of the overtime they spend each day at work is never paid, either and if they complain, they get fired as they have tons of foreigners who will work illegally for practically nothing.
It's very common in the Greek private sector to work 6 days a week / 8am to 9pm = 13 hours a day x 6 = 78 hours a week. How do you like that?
Keep living in your brainwashed dreams.

OFFICIAL SOURCE = NUMBER 4 IN THE WORLD. Unofficially, the truth is the one I told you.
Source: I'm Greek, living in Greece.
So let me see if I got this straight: you are actually misunderstood and unappreciated and everything is the foreigners' fault?
I suppose the Germans are also bad, bad people for fucking you over with all those billions of dollars they poured into your hardworking country that needs constant loans to not go bankrupt?
You have to be realistic about these things.

Well, one thing he's spot on are overtimes, the more south you go from the curved line UK-Germany-Finland the less you're likely to get paid for overtime, that shit went out of fad ages ago. Economy in Europe is generally stagnating and the population is growing this way or the other so the job market is getting more fierce by the day. And it's a seller's market so work conditions aren't getting any better.
Less wealthy countries are the first to feel it but we're all in the same boat after a fashion, so I suppose it's just a matter of time.

I know that, Raics, I live in Bulgaria and things here in the last 25 years have always been way worse than Greece, including today, but we haven't received several hundred billion Euro so when I see a Greek guy explaining how bad they're having it I find myself lacking in sympathy.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Who said I was asking for sympathy or anything? I just set that guy's facts straight. What does Bulgaria have to do with this chat? He said Greeks work 25 hours a day and I gave him proof that he's totally wrong.
Yes, Bulgaria has been worse than Greece but for different reasons! We have received hundred of billions of Euros? Lol. Don't confuse billions with MILLIONS, and I doubt they were "hundreds".
Secondly, the whole country's assets, goldmines, aiports, ports, businesses ( telecommunications etc ) have been sold out to foreigners for nothing. The only thing they haven't sold out yet is the oil we have, but I think they will sell that out, too. We are talking about corruption, and don't tell me you don't know about corruption.
As far as the Germans go, don't even put them in this equation. They never paid the money they got from Greece during the 2nd world war ( yeah, they got tons of money to fund Hitler's wars )but you never knew that, did you? And guess why the Allies rebuilt Germany 2x and not only erased all their debts but gave them more money and support and rebuilt them??? Yep, to prevent the Soviets from going West.

P.S. The problem is political corruption and being in a strategical position that everybody wants to control. As simple as that.

greece always had a imbalance in trade, they imported more than they exported.
when they had the drachma it would devalue as a consequence of that imbalance, making imports more expensive. their own currency protected them.
after joining the euro they didn't take measures to compensate that and let the imbalance go on without protection. european banks massively invested there without any consideration of eventually getting their money back, it's a fault of both (banks and the old conservative greece government).
the bailout money greece received when they tried to save greece from bancruptcy didn't go to greece, over 80% immediately went back to the european banks so they don't crash.
the one to blame is the old greek government which in it's paranoia of being attacked by turkey put unbelievable amounts of money into buying weapons instead of reforming their non existent governmental tax system.
the old conservative greek government, the euro and banks destroyed greece.
germany and france only made sure they didn't escape that fate.

We are in a more or less similar position and I can sympathize with that. What triggered me was 'we are one of the most hardworking people'. OK, so the guy was wrong about your average worktime, but if you're trying to say most Greeks work 78 hour weeks, I'm not going to believe that.

Caught redhanded! Yes, I decided to soften it a little. I also realized what makes me want to punch a kitten is having a baby kitten trying to eat my computer in real life, not some guy in an internet forum.
You have to be realistic about these things.
