How are alchemy orbs so common?

Pro tip: The infinite alch rolling

When you need an upgrade and decide to alch a piece of white gear, up the quality to 20% first using whetstones or armorer's.

If the alch turned out to be crap, just find 2 more of the base item. Upgrade the quality of those to 20, turn one into magic, and vendor all 3 items to get your alch back! Then start fresh again, until you get a good roll.

What this cost you is a maximum of 12 quality upgrading orbs. And 1 transmute and the base white items, but these are easy to find.

The trick to reduce the costs is of course to use whites that already have some quality, but the best is to collect all "superior" items to vendor them (40% total quality == 1 orb) in order to keep a steady supply, so you have tons when you need them.

Do this all the time, I myself am up to about 100 scraps and 60 stones. I never sue them since I'm a summoner, and my gear is more about the sockets/links and I rarely upgrade.

I have a level 48 Witch, until now I found 2 GCPs, 3 Unique items, and 3 alch. I mean, same as uniques. So bugged to see that alches are almost worthless, the inflation sure is high as hell. I mean, i saw c/o 10 exalted on an item that was not even that good.

Now that depends on the buyer and the item offered. Alot of people think the Midnight Bargain is trash, it offers little to no aid to a normal caster, but to a summoner, its priceless. Best item in the game to a summoner. Same goes to Deaths Harp. To a summoner, its worthless, but a Ranger with bows, its one of the best out there. Value and worth are two different things, and its clear that value is a standard which doesnt apply to this game, while worth is something set by the user.

I craft all the item I wear myself but never thought of this to get back my alch. Thanks for the tip!
