Bearers and Volatile Blood
" No he propably plays meta, if you have 15k ES you need a really tough mob to instantly die. If you only have about 8k Life and that is already much, you will just explode. Actually in the current state Volatiles are not a Melee vs. Ranged issue, they are mostly a ES vs. Life issue, because honestly even as ranged you cannot ensure the volatile does not blow up right in your face. Just ignite a Devourer, he burrows and comes up right underneath you where the ignite kills him. You have no chance avoiding that. Or actually just have a rare devourer with volatile pop up in front of you. You might be attacking at this point and they aren't that durable, they just die instantly and blow you up. Of course melees are more endangered, but honestly most of the rares are low HP enemies that are not too dangerous. So a Life based ranged char is propably as endangered as a melee CI char. Melee Life based chars are of course fucked. |

V-blood is a Half-Assed thought of an ability for monsters.
A good Example of a good Monster mod. The Burning Man's explosion on death. Its a Mechanic that "skill checks" the player while giving them time to apply their skill. Its done with a visual, sound, and time delay. Effort makes this mechanic great. Again V-blood is aids from conception to implementation. It has no Visual, sound, or time delay that is relative to the few players that this skill "checks." |

" I like this look. Maybe give volatile blood a delay. Make the corpse bubble for a bit first before it blows up, instead of just instant death. It would give a little more skill involved than plowing through monsters and suddenly dying, or seeing it far off and trying to avoid it as melee or kite it, or kill it with a trap because you need one JUST for volatile blood I guess I will have to buy a one way ticket to hell with your lives

" It's been proposed several times. But giving them a timer/delay, may hurt ranged characters. We can't have that. God forbid ranged attackers/caster meet the same hurdles as melee. It would be preposterous. God forbid. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
