I would agree on most of what OP brings up.
Though I believe the Helm enchant options needs to be reduced by around 33%. There is no need to have separate reduced reserve options. Set it 14% mana reduce for auras. No need for 5 increased dmg golems, remove those 5 entirely. There are many others that can easily be removed as they are entirely useless to everyone. Option B would be great improvement. What actually hits my nerves sometimes is having a good enchant on the wrong base. I mean you can just trade or swap an enchanted item if you want but if the base is the wrong one the item is pretty much useless both for personal use and trading.
It could be an idea to let the player know wich enchant they're going to have before applying it. That can have two benefits: -If you want a particular enchant but you have a usable one in your helmet you can drop the enchant beforehand. -If you like the idea of collect and sell enchant or you have several chars you can choose a marketable base from your stash or one of your toons helmet. For an Emperor to be just, an Emperor must be patient.

Labyrinth Enchantment "FARMING"/WASTING TIME worst thing GGG has done with PoE!
They just blow up everything and ruin it. Everything. My solution let us use 50 time random enhants on our helmets to make it just POSSIBLE, exactly 50 try not lesser as even there 50 try will took so much time and so much runs, still even 50 try still low, but lets stop on that for start. " Balancing based on rarity is destroying the game and the economy. Playing the game with mirror weapons, 500+ ES tri resist helms and shields, etc, or super uniques like skyforth and headhunter turn it into a joke. GGG cannot properly balance content when item power differences are so vast. It's either too hard for the masses or trivialized for the ladder leaders. Everything, including helm enchants, needs to be balanced irrespective of rarity. Having something "rare" is no excuse for it being overpowered. Power creep has been excessive. My 2x void battery assassin is clearing maps just by running around with herald of ice and herald of thunder (which have 90% crit against full life targets). With the glove decree enchant it's all self sustaining with both heralds constantly procing, all I need to do is run. If I need extra obliteration I can lightning warp. There are blade vortex, kinetic blast, spark, spectral throw, and so many other builds for every class that are just as retarded, with full gorge clears under 1:30. Game balance has run away from GGG and using rarity as a lever to justify item power is part of it. Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client. @Tree- I think most people werent dumb enough to fall for VOC's scheme LOL, but then again some people arent too smart.
The fact that people even take VOC seriously anymore is actually kinda funny, his most recent reddit post on Helmet Enchants is almost like a crazy conspiracy theory (like one of the crazy made up ones that are completely baseless). TL;DR of that thread was he was going on about how chests might be tied to enchants and how maybe theres a way to open all chests and if you do you get the higher level enchants and such haha. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

Being able to see the new enchant before replacing the current should absolutely happen, that's the single most discouraging thing.
