Elemental Conflux not procing shock or chill?

Has anybody else had this problem?

It was procing shock when i was using face breakers and infernal blow ( yet i only had fire/phys dmg ) for leveling but now that ive changed over to RF and using cyclone for x2 curse on hit, the hits only seem to be procing burning ( using cold dmg to proc EE.)

Is there some hidden mechanic with elemental conflux that was not stated?

Because i would understand if i was forced to use said element to get said status effect, but the skill details say its supposed to proc all 3 on hit. And when i was using infernal blow for leveling and had strictly fire/phys damage it was procing all 3 effects.

Is the degen dmg from RF perhaps overwriting the tick for elemental conflux?

Very odd... In which case u would think id be proccing chill on enemeis since im using a bit fo added cold to proc EE for more RF dmg. And this also wouldnt explain pure fire/phys procing all 3.

Id really love a dev to jump in here and shed some light on how the skill actually works.
Update: So i have a CWDT setup going... with molten shell.... THE MOLTEN SHELL IS FREAKING PROCCING THE SHOCK/CHILL STATUS EFFECTS CMON.... I just dont understand... someone please send help...

what is proc short for? I first read this term playing hellgate london
and know what it means, but cant for the life of me imagine where it
came from.

proc: a chance of producing a condition or result

in your example, the chance of producing shock status

proc... produce??? proc proceed? proc provoke?

is proc an acronym?

produce result on conta... HOLY FUCK.

PRODUCE RESULT ON CONTACT.

PROC IS AN ACRONYM!

am I right?

Programmed Random Occurrence. Maybe this will help?

how much damage you deal with your cyclone?

Ele conflux makes all hit damage shock, chill and ignite. But the normal rules for chilling/shocking still apply so you need to deal certain percentage of targets max life to shock/chill, as usual. If your damage is low shock/chill duration is too short to even occur

This may be whats happening then. I didnt think this would still be an issue, in which case once i change my main hand weapon off my resists crutch im using currently and i level up my cyclone, m aybe i can force it to do enough damage.

And if all else fails, enchants will save the day. (Hopefully)
I cant see your character in your profile but if you use typical setup with curse on hit no damage cyclone Im afraid this idea with Conflux will not work at all (maybe you shock some trash mobs for tiny time but you dont need them to be shocked anyways). If there was no change, minimum shock duration is 0.2s which equals hit worth 3.3% of targets max life

this build idea would need you to deal serious damage in some other ways than only with RF. ie with cyclone while cursing some other way of cursing or running blade vortex/RF combo with whirl blades for movement etc

This can't be the case if he's getting ignites though, can it? OP says in his first post that he burns while cycloning, so I'm confused.

Ignite doesn't have a minimum damage requirement, as it has a fixed duration. Shock and Chill have the same unmodified duration, so they should appear together or not at all. (You need at least 5% of total life as damage to get past the threshold if you don't have any chill-shock duration increases from gear-tree)
