wonder who came up with the lab when they insist on keeping it? Really makes your neurons spin.
Because it sure is a loved addition to the gaem.
514 pages now. Damn.
70% is likely the same 5-6 people, its easier to post in a massive thread that keeps getting bumped.

I agree. I hate the fact that I have to the lab when I'm not really prepared for it. Until merc, you only get lousy enchants and lousy loot so there is literally no point in running it for anything other than the Ascendancy points. My characters can handle merc lab by themselves later at full keys, but that rarely happens when I only have cruel Ascendancy points.
I don't mind when I run the lab because I choose to do so. However being forced to do so takes almost all the fun out of it. I also hate the fact that I somehow have to procure an Offering to the Goddess for Uber Lab solely for the Ascendancy points. I feel like if my character can't do Uber lab, it really shouldn't be in Uber, but due to the ascendancy points being coupled to the lab, my character is forced to enter Uber lab anyway.
I think getting the Ascendancy points should be tied to story progression. I know some people think that's just a power creep, but the reality is that a lot of people pay for lab carries because they can't do the lab themselves or just don't want to bother and simply rush through the game. In the end, they still end up with maximum ascendancy points without fighting Izaro so there is no real difference between getting them naturally through the story or getting them from the lab. For some people who might claim "I don't want my ascendancy points for ... x reason", you don't have to allocate them.

One exciting detail about Slicer9875 entry to the list is that he's one of the few new entries with a joining date after the release of the labyrinth. I find this fact interesting because I had assumed months ago that by this time most of the new people being added to the list would be newer players. When I added this additional info to the list the percent of people joining after release of labyrinth was only between 3% and 4% of the names in the list. This percentage seems to be holding pretty close. This means that many people that post on the forums agree with people on the list but had not yet posted their opinions. As there still seems to be a fairly steady stream of new names and the names are almost all people that have made dozens of posts in the forums. It will be interesting to see how long this can continue.

If that was true this thread would not be this long, clearly you are mistaken.

Yep same 5 people nobody new EVER posts here. While it's true most of the original posters quit and played a better game, some of us are masochists.

Most of the new people who hit the lab just quit, why invest in bad content?

Well, my personal testimonial on this is that if labyrinth had been there when I first played PoE back in July 2013. I would have hit the labyrinth and said, "WTF? Goodbye!", definitely without leaving any message. This assumes that I even stuck around for the labyirnth after encountering the trials.

So because thats your shitty bias opinion its everyones?
No
I only wish that you would realize that GGG is dedicated to keeping the lab and AC together and your little post don't really do much to sway them just clutter the forums with useless post that need to be reviewed by staff.
Its honestly so sad you dislike the content, but at the same time you never gave it a chance and you continue to not give it a chance, why should GGG even attempt to change the lab or acqusition method when there are players like you that will ultimately just cry and cry until you get the power creep for free?
You cried about the merc lab without even completing it. Fucking rofl
