The Trials of Ascendancy serve no purpose and are annoying
annoying when u get disconnected towards the finish 2 times in a row, these abnormal d/cs happen only during lab for me. And yeah...whatevs graphics and sights are nice in the labyrinth but it is boring and annoying

" Certainly agree there, totally forgot about the old days of those big chests at the end, I suppose I can understand why they are gone, but there's no purpose of going there now days. And yeah I agree, most certainly a nice side-effect rather than a direct intention. " This post is about the trials before the Labs though, it's important to make this distinction because there are countless good things about the Labs you can argue, but seemingly none about the Trials. If this post was about the Labs it would be a pointless QQ thread because there's a high degree of subjectiveness on if you like it or not and a lot of the problems with it are short term. There's no good to be said of the trials, from the perspective of new, intermediate or expert players. The only thing we have right now is the trials bring people into two unused zones, which I guess is a good side effect, though I can't see anything massively wrong with the fact that some zones aren't visited enough... They kinda make sense on Normal - a tutorial to what you might expect in Lab.
Later on tho... well, tbh they are very easy, and could be removed from Cruel/Merci. Artificially making these side areas worth visiting... well. Not very big fan of that. Making them a good farming spots and/or quests with nice rewards could be better way. One could say that they are needed to get a reward in form on Ascendancy, but this is somewhat stretched. :V Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Mar 9, 2016, 4:29:33 AM
