" Self-casting it multiple times in a row in Lockstep is downright broken once you get enough reduced duration and cast speed on it. Something about it causes sync issues, reliably, and hasn't been fixed since lockstep introduction. |

"It does not cause sync issues. It casts correctly mechanically, but the client-side effects do not play on some of the casts (you still teleport and deal damage as normal, you just don't see any of the effects for that cast). This most commonly happens on every second cast of the skill, but players have reported other patterns and/or lack of patterns. It's a visual-only bug that only affects one skill, only in lockstep, and is extremely hard to pin down, and due to it's nature, is likely to be tough to fix correctly. That limits how much priority we can afford to give it. It will be fixed eventually. | |

its a really important fix though, its casters primary movement skill, the way this fucks with the game completely forcing everyone into dagger whirling blades if they like it or not, the fact that they then all use fortify to support... its horrendous, Ive almost put casters on hold entirely as a concept until you fix this, thats how fucked it is.
Imo you should just completely change how lightning warp functions mechanically to be the same as whirling or dash or something else that does not have this bug if you cant fix it soon. just abort the mechanic entirely and go back to it when you work out what youre doing to fix it. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Only one skill - perhaps can start looking at exceptions made for that skill - like that hidden delay and whatever else it might have.

Only the animation is bugged, it teleports you exactly where you want to go.
It's not desync by the technical definition, because you are still 100% synchronized with the server when you cast it. The missing animation is a side-effect of lockstep. |

How does it fuck with the game completely? It works. It just doesn't show the graphic all the time. Isn't the fact that you end up where you clicked enough of a tipoff that you warped there?

" the way it rubber bands is unplayable to use it as a move skill, that sudden jerk, not knowing up to that moment if the cast actually went off etc, its too much. Ive died on the other end of that jolting broken warp almost instantly before now and Im not at all convinced I saw every frame of me standing on the other end. To use it as a movement skill you are basically rubber banding your screen and missing a beat as you land literally all the time, every few seconds, its unplayable. If they simply stopped lightning warp being automatic fire, ie if you hold down the button it cant recast a second time, you now have to spam tap to keep warping, that would be almost as good as fixing it because you cant then accidentally get jolted on an unintentional double cast as seems to happen to me endlessly. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
