Perandus coin value revealed!
Clickbait hype title! Secrets leaked!
Just making some estimations, though I think I won't be far from the final value. The supreme truth goes for 240 coins in the teaser. Average price on poe.trade, excluding all margin troll listings at 20c, is about 2-3c. 240 coins seems like 2,4 chaos orbs. Meaning the devs took the low fence as the rate is 1c:100 coins. So based on this I estimate the following prices - Wanderlust 300-400 coins - Goldrim 600-800 coins Low lvl zones might give crappy uniques for under 40-80 coins, and top tier uniques will cost at least tens of thousands coins. Drop your estimate now, let's see who got the best guessing skills. "Im smartest. Your stoped. Dael wiht it." Last bumped on Mar 7, 2016, 8:15:21 AM

I feel stupid. You're basing coin value off of poe.trade? Pretty sure thats a terrible assumption right off the bat. You'd best base your assumptions off of master-sold uniques in chaos/div/ex waaaayyy before player substantiated prices.
Right now i have no idea how GGG is going to value the coins and i can't even begin to guess past their vendor prices which i think is a more reasonable jumping off point. |

That's an interesting estimation method, but I don't think the prices are based on player-set prices.
I'm thinking that the specific interaction we saw with Cadiro Perandus will be almost entirely randomized. Maybe t1 uniques will cost a bit more on average than others, but for the most part everything will be random. Depending on whether or not coins are tradeable, you will have to decide for yourself whether or not a specific deal is worth it. It also depends on how common coins are. Can you find 100 coins in a zone? Maybe only 5 per zone? Perhaps as many as 300 per zone? If people can get stashes full of 10,000 coins easily, you can bet that prices are going to be astronomical. If people will struggle to amass only 1000 coins, prices are going to be much, much lower. |

Assuming no independent utility for P Coins, coins will fall in line with market currencies, not the other way around.
It's going to be more like jack-in-the-box div cards were on release (pre nerf). People will buy them to essentially gamble with, and as the community gets closer and closer to knowing what the odds are of getting a good return on investment, the coin to chaos ratio will approach its 'real' exchange rate. |

If you think they went through each item and assigned a price to it manually, you have a strange notion of either how many items there are in the game or how much time GGG is willing to spend on a task.
