More Equipment slots?

This is something that gets brought up from time to time. There are already a lot of equipment slots and gear types in PoE. It can be difficult to find the specific gear that you want. Adding even more items would just dilute the gear drops even more for little actual benefit. I'd rather have a new game mechanic than just more straight gear.
I agree, with tpapp here. Don't get me wrong, I love having tons of slots for gear. Mythos has like 12-13 equipment slots and it was great because awesome gear was easy to find. In PoE, it's extremely difficult to get good gear let alone awesome gear. The more types of equipment we have will only serve to frustrate players even more than they already are. Also, people have enough issues/complaints with inventory space. Forcing them to hoard their gear until around lvls 25, 35, and 45 when they'll finally be able to equip stuff because they reached a new difficulty is not an idea that many would embrace.

More equipment slots for sake of more equipment slots is pointless. GGG needs to work on implementing interesting affixes first (armor is currently dreadfully boring and one dimensional, weapons are currently dreadfully boring and are one dimensional, only interesting "choices" come from belts/jewelry/flasks).

Once we have higher number of affixes, then we can consider if its worth having more item slots to distribute them in interesting ways.

Who's frustrated? These games are all about incremental upgrades of gear. The more slots i have to fawn over, the better. Nobody ever has awesome gear in every slot, until very deep into the life of an arpg. Ideally, anyway. And that increases the longevity of the game.

People will complain about inventory no matter what the situation is. I don't think inventory complaints are relevant, when we have 20x the stash space of d2, and 2x the inventory space. With microtransaction likely for more stash space.

You have that right! If I had 100 pages of inventory instead of just 4, I'd find things to fill it and would eventually be complaining that I didn't have enough room.

Inventory space is always going to be an issue, whether you have minimal room or a ton of it. It's part of the game. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have to spend five minutes playing inventory tetris every time I go back to town.

Good idea in general - it will make it hard to get the super-leet gear all around which is a good thing.

Also anyone familiar with artifact system of TQIT? The way trading looks in this game it would make an extremely popular addition.

I am. I loved the artifact system. It made trading so much more interesting, in that someone could have a piece that you needed to complete your artifact, and you had a piece that could complete theirs.

That system could have been a lot deeper, and PoE is just the game to do it.

Neat idea, Letamol, I had forgotten about the artifact system in TQ Immortal Throne, but since this is an entirely closed (read: legit) character base, it would be GREAT here.

I know, but could you imagine that system in this game? It would be AWESOME. You KNOW there is no opportunity for cheating, and completing a Divine would be amazing.

My thought would be that artifacts were directly linked to the particular character and couldn't be traded, thus making a complete one would make your character even more valuable to you personally.

With enough player base you can add another level above divine.

And no I disagree to no trade rule. I'd like to see divine artifacts sell for 10 divine orbs or something :D
