Scion's raider perk. wtf?
If you are going raider for 20% chance to onslaught or phasing Your doing it wrong , either you go there for Frenzy buffs and +1 Frenzy or for onslaughtbuffs as a general good thing to have .
Im not saying the raider perk is bad , but its not even Close to the other Things you get from raider. |

They simply create a sub-class that is stronger and more useful that the original class.

Are you all purposefully ignoring the fact raider gives additional benefits to the effects you can proq?
And since we have an onslaught potion now all of the raiders perks can have 100% up-time even on bosses. Scions perk is interesting to say the least, but it's the normal onslaught and phase run, not the beefed up supper version. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Yup, but it needs a potion, which is a bad idea. Don't forget scion can still pick another class while having the perma onslaught and phasing, with the no-penalty 2% dodge. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Last edited by WillisTheWillis#5253 on Feb 26, 2016, 2:18:48 AM

" ? Opposed to the no penalty 6% dodgde? o.O And the potion is not "a bad idea" when it gives you 25% more melee evasion/15%more ranged evasion and the buffed version. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" They are on kill, or with potion. Both are not always up. You have to occupy 1 potion slot to use that effect too. If you pick raider ONLY on scion, it is obviously a little bit weaker, but just a little bit. You can still pick another class, and become stronger and much reliable. The problem is you have to invest and do a lot to utilize Raider, but it's way too easy to achieve a minor version on scion while still have the option to choose other effect. The difficulty of Raider and easiness of Scion make the difference. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

People crying out for build diversity then desperately trying to create the best of the best build. Duh...
Previous to Ascendancy Path of Exile was one of these unique games where you could make a caster out of a brute and be an intelligent female berserk. Now the classes will somewhat limit your choice of skills and then here comes the Scion to save the day. Caster? Fighter? Archer? She can do it all and it wont feel like you got the wrong end of the stick, just slightly different. Ascendancy is going to make PoE interesting and that's all i care about. Oh and there are lots of people who will chose Scion over Ranger simply because of aesthetics. |

" Nope. They are always up if you do what raider is supposed to do: raid. Murder. Loot. Move forward. Tying the effect to on-kill effects (including flask that recharges on kill) is perfect thematically and allow 100% uptime. " Lol a bit... 20% AS, 40% attack dmg, 10% cast speed, 10% movement speed, 30% increased eva, 25% MORE eva against melee, 15% more eva against projectiles... Not a signature. " You seriously think it is only a little weaker? Do you even see the numbers differences. Saying the "easiness" of Scion makes the difference, are you even aware of the cost in doing that? Do you plan to use 3 jewel slots to give yourself -3 frenzy charges to get to 0 max frenzy charges? Because if you so, then, you just got yourself a garbage build just to get onslaught and phasing, which isn't even that great. If you don't, then you go with the 10% chance on kill to get 1 frenzy charge and you need to do that 3 times to max it. Meaning about 30 kills. How is that better than 20% to gain onslaught from a single kill?! |

If it works like the Snakebite Unique and don't mind not getting any and using 3 Jewel Sockets which 3 are readily available at the Scion starting Area you can use 3 Pacifism Jewels to grant her permanent Phasing and Onslaught.
Phasing will make Haku Escape Parts Near Trivial. Onslaught itself already grants you 20% Increased aspd, cspd & mspd Which you normally need 5 Frenzy Charges to sustain. So yeah it does look like its somewhat superior to the Ranger's Raider. Just another Forum Signature in a Sea of Signatures.
